Kim Doan's Online Review Report Card

Been coming here for years and have never had any doubts about Dr. Doan's care and compassion about her patients. Recently, brought my elderly mom for a regular check up and I appreciate Dr. Doan spending a lot of time to ensure that my mom's eyes were looked after and patiently answering all here questions. We also purchased glasses here - her staff are not pushy sales agents and ensure that they can meet your needs.

Worst experience with the doctor, who talked as she does not care about the patient, not a friendly patience attitude, will never go back, happened on April 30, 2021

Both Dr. Doan and her staff were not only professional and courteous, but they all advocated for me (more than once) and tailored my prescriptions to meet the criteria that my insurance required so I could get coverage. They also recommended a coupon initially that saved me $700. And since I have seen Dr. Doan, I have had no discomfort with my severe dry eye problems. I can't say enough about Dr. Doan and her staff. Also, a special thanks to (I don't know how to spell her name) "Meha" and Dr. Doan for dealing with my requests on top of requests. If there were more stars they would be filled in BOLD.

I worked for her for 1 month. I have worked for many O.C. Ophthalmologists and she treats her staff terribly, and I don't recommend her.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience with my eye exam. Took my mum as well and purchased multiple pairs of glasses between us. Excellent service and very comforting as clinician.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother who recently saw Kim Doan on 5/11.20. My mother went in for a pain in her left eye and was seen for less than 15 minutes and told that it had nothing to do with the eye and recommended that she see her primary care for further assistance. However, my mom was charged over the amount she was supposed to pay for her deductible because she has medicare coverage. When the medicare statement came, Dr. Doan billed for services NEVER rendered or NEEDED!!! She billed for an assessment for prescription eye wear (my mom doesn't wear glasses nor does she need them) She also billed for diagnostic imaging of the retina which is the only service she should've billed. After multiple calls to Medicare about the situation and clarification of the billing, they said she should be refunded for being over charged from Dr. Doan. However, this has been months later and Dr. Doan has not refunded the money and refuses to correct the situation. if you go to this Dr., check your medical bill statement of services, she is probably billing your insurance for services not given!!! BEWARE!!! A formal complaint has been filed with Medicare, and the California board of Optometry. Do not go here.

Very strange experience. She wasn't exactly rude but very curt. I will not be going back.

Dr was rude, nasty acted like I was a waste of her time I would NEVER SEE HER AGAIN. I also complained to my insurance they said they’d heard this same complaint from others.

Is always on time. I have never have to wait. Explains my entire exam and very friendly and knowledgeable.Highly recommend

Doctor was rude and condescending. Among other things, told me I have cataracts but said nothing more about it, leaving me wondering what I should do next. Told me 4 times I "was illegal to drive." Asked me questions and never gave me time to answer one before asking the next one. I have never had such an experience with any other doctor.
