I'm currently see Dr Chong and I'm so happy that my eyes are in his hands he has put me at ease when I thought I was going blind and he has saved my vision
Highly recommend Dr. Chong
Dr. Chong is the best of the best. He is very considerate and takes the time to let the patient know that their eye sight is most important. I feel very confident in recommending Dr. Chong as a retina specialist.
I wish my experience with Dr. Chong could've went better. He did RD surgery on me that can only be described as botch job. He did not explain my options carefully, and did a surgery on me that resulted in multiple follow up surgeries that left me with poor results. He never explained anything well and was very impatient and careless with my situation. I cannot recommend him.
Dr. Chong did a botch job retinal detachment surgery on me leaving me with poor results that could've otherwise been prevented. He was impatient with me and had a careless attitude after. He tore my retina near my macula and lasered all over the detached portion leaving me with a large blindspot. No recommendation from me!
His incompetent surgery resulted in my BLINDNESS. DO NOT GO HERE
I am writing this because i feel i have an obligation to inform anyone who is considering to use Dr. Chong. Dr. Chong nealry blinded me, he did RD surgery on me where he did over aggressive lasering that has left me partially sighted in that eye. For reasons he has never explained, he aggressively lasered the detached portion of my retina. Other doctors who have seen me since are baffled by his actions. During an RD surgery a gas bubble is inserted into the eye to push the retina back into place. Dr. Chong, inserted the bubble that pushed my retina back then he lasered the detachment, in addition to the tear resulting in a large permanent blind spot. When i asked him, why i had this he said he didnt know! I went to another specialists who told me what he did and what he shouldve done. I hope anyone reading this recognizes that not all specialists are created equal, and in circumstances like these surgical success is determined on the careful choices a doctor makes.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
