List of Memorialcare Medical Group - Huntington Beach's Reviews
I would not recommend this place, doctors are not listening, they treated their patient with no respect. My review is based on my family member’s experience with Dr. Kumar multiple times not only once.
They treat patients horrible and deny you access to your medical records. They speak to you with disrespect!
During my ongoing illness, I have had the need to consult with six of Memorial Care's Medical Staff based at the Beach Blvd facility in Huntington Beach, from PA's , to doctors on videoconferencing, to Urgent Care physicians. Each and every one was compassionate, knowledgeable and efficient. and best of all, I was seen within minutes of my appointment, and I never had to repeat the litany of my symptoms, or the treatment I had had up to the point he or she was my caregiver that day or night. (We all know how distressing it is when one is in pain to have to repeat details about the current health problem, and what has been prescribed to date that has been less than successful!) They had all consulted my medical records in detail before they spoke to me, and were able to recommend other options/ tests/ medications that might work - even consulted with each other on my behalf! - and I have confidence that with their combined help, my health problem will be resolved. These are the staff who have helped me so far:Melissa Myles PA, Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Vu, Dr. Lee, Dr. Van Trinh, and at Fountain Valley facility, Dr. Aranez.Thank you! Their website is pretty usable. You can send a message to your doctor, and they are really responsive. I even uploaded a photo to have them look at a skin condition to see if it was serious. They have a wide variety of doctors who can all access your medical history, so you rarely have to go out of network. They can even do some blood draws on-site, saving you a separate trip to Quest.
This place and staff used to be a lot better when Dr. Panitch was working there, ever since she left, shit went downhill in the last 2 years. Got passed off to the supposedly "next best doctor" similar to Panitch there and that was Dr. Hoa Nguyen - she's nothing like Dr. Panitch was and will never be close to it ever. She talks at her patients, not to them and has a horrible bedside manner which needs some major work and improvement if she wants her patients to keep coming back to her. Also, she needs to lose the I-Know-It-All attitude. After having my first visit with Dr. Nguyen, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied that she had the lab and blood work done on me when I last had it done with Dr. Panitch and she didn't even bother to look through and notice and said do it anyways, "I don't have any lab or blood work history with you" and got a bill for $58 for that plus the nurse that did my bloodwork severely stabbed me and my arm was bruised for two weeks and completely sore from it plus didn't properly bandage me up afterwards and bled quite a bit after my bloodwork was done, that's not normal and didn't have this issue when I got my bloodwork done with Dr. Panitch last time. Then I got charged somehow twice for the same ultrasound/doppler appointment when Dr. Nguyen wasn't even the person who performed the procedure in the first place, then got an email yesterday stating that I have a balance of $730 due for it, doesn't sound right and doesn't make any sense at all. Complete rip off. I'm beyond pissed off at this point and will not be returning back to Dr. Nguyen anymore after this incident.

I went in for an issue that required lab testing. After a couple weeks with no results I called to inquire. It is virtually impossible to talk to someone in office as calls go to a call center and they state someone will call you back. After learning my sample was lost I had to return and give a other. 2 more weeks go by, no phone call with results. All of the test results I received were only from myself tracking them down, not from memorial care reaching out. Based on the results the doc said that would point us a direction of a diagnosis and I would need to follow up. When I called to chase down results the nurse hung up before I could get a question out. I called back, sat on hold then asked my question. I was told the doc I saw would reach out to me for the next course of action. No return call from doc, shocker!!! I'll go elsewhere...
I've been coming here for about 3 years now o have lung problems and they have always treated me right and gave me the proper medicine I've needed, yesterday I went and the whole system has changed. A new doctor who doesn't work with me at all I know what medicine works for my body but some how he knows better. Well the medicine hasn't done anything for me if not made it worst their phone number doesn't go to their office anymore it's a big corporation now that doesn't care. I would recommend finding a new doctor like I'm going to as well. Good luck with these people
I really like my female internist, but after today I will be looking for someone in private practice, and not Memorial Care. They are just too big to care. I hurt my leg over a week ago. Was told I did not need any scans, etc. I'm still in pain. Emailed yesterday. Received a reply that there were no appointments available today. This was early this morning. I've made several calls to no avail. I'm trying to get in tomorrow.
Incredibly incompetent reception staff. Took them 30 minutes to even look at me after I had checked in on their pad up front, and then when they were taking my copay I asked about the wait and they said another 45 to 60 minutes. I asked them why they hadn't told this to me when I arrived 30 minutes ago and then blonde one said they had an emergency when I came in and she was processing the emergency and the other receptionist was busy. This is absolutely bull**** since they processed several other people and made phone calls during the 30 minutes I was waiting. They just didn't care, but they tried to make it look like I just wasn't important enough to spend time letting me know I wouldn't be seen for over an hour. And when I told them I worked at a vet hospital and we tell our clients up front that there are emergencies, the blonde one looked away and started muttering under her breath. I wonder how much they pay these people to treat patients like garbage.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
