List of Nicole Smith's Reviews
I was so excited to join this dentistry as I just moved to Huntington Beach and loved my previous dentist. Unfortunately, when I went to get my teeth cleaned they tried to charge me an absurd amount of money which turned out they had the insurance policy wrong/human error. Understandably, I was extremely upset because I’ve never had to pay this much money for a teeth cleaning. I decided I might try somewhere else because I was so upset with the office. They were not empathetic or remorseful for their mistake either. Months later, I still have not tried a new dentist and don’t want to fill out more paperwork so I called again today to try and set an appointment and the dentist said that “it doesn’t seem like a good fit”. I must mention they also tried to charge me for a bunch of others products and services I did not need or request. They mentioned they would not clean my teeth without. I’ve never had a dentist do this before. I hope no one else has this experience and looking for a great dentist if you have any recommendations. Thank you!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Smith for years. She is caring, empathetic, and very gentle. I had Invisalign done with her and my teeth look amazing now! I’m so appreciative of her and her team. She has a cute office too! Definitely recommend.
In my opinion, Dr. Smith is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Dr. Smith must be held accountable, for what appears to me unnecessary dental work and dishonest billing. I had United Health Care dental insurance for only routine cleanings and x-rays. When I went to see Dr. Smith, in November, 2021, she told me tooth 30 had an infection, needed a root canal, and needed a new crown. She also told me I needed crowns on teeth 31 and 32. I had the root canal and a Cerec crown put on tooth 30. BTW: Dr. Smith kept my gold crown! I paid her out-of-pocket $1,266, for the crown and $900.00 for the root canal. In May, I learned she put in claims for $1,899.00 but they were denied. In January, 2022 I had Delta Care,USA. I had Dr. Smith remove the crown on tooth 31 and replace it with a Cerec crown. She charged me $1,155.00 out-of-pocket. In February, 2022 Dr.Smith replaced the crown on tooth 32 charging me $1,210.00 out of pocket. In April, 2022 I went for a routine cleaning and Dr. Smith told me I had cavities in teeth 18 and 19 and they were susceptible to cracking. I went for a second opinion to a Dentist who is not affiliated with The Smile Generation Corporation. He told me I did not need to replace the crowns. I also learned that Delta CareUSA gives out Financial Arrangements and I should have paid only $715.00 a crown. I did file grievances and have been reimbursed. This is just a snippet of my story.
Smith is s scam. I was told over the phone my PPO dental insurance would cover 100% of my teeth cleaning bill. I arrive and after examination Smith leaves the room and a sales girl enters the room l to try the up-sell and pitched I need to pay an additional $500 out of my pocket for teeth cleaning. I had no cavities. I declined and walked out. Went to another dentist in Costa Mesa and received the same deep cleaning completely covered by my dental insurance with no out of pocket expense. Now you know, beware!

My elderly mother absolutely loved Dr. Smith. My mom had experienced a lot of dental complications earlier in her life, but always felt safe with Dr. Smith. She is a great dentist, who genuinely cares for her patients. My mother even looked forward to her appointments.
This is one of two locations that Dr.Nicole Smith has so understandably so I mixed them up and drove to the wrong one. The other location, I had nothing but positive experiences with the front desk ladies. Here I was met with rude tones, eye rolls, and annoyance. I even said “sorry about the mix up” as I left and once again nothing but eye rolling. She also mentioned they’d be on their lunch break soon and that seems to be all she cared about. I’m actually very relieved my daughter will be seen at the other location. My 8 year old daughter has severe anxiety about going to the dentist and the last thing she needs is some rude lady at the front to make her even more nervous.
Based on my experience with Dr. Smith and members of her staff, I can not give more than a one star rating.
Have been seeing Dr. Smith for over 5 years and have referred many coworkers to her. She is caring, detailed, and has a gentle touch. She listens and takes her time when I have questions. Her office is clean and staff is great. It’s always a good experience! By far the best dentist I’ve been to.
I had a crown put on tooth #3 molar that was to low. Dr. Nicole smith drilled the tooth next to it tooth #2 five or six times .Then told me she was not comfortable with my tooth problem, and I left the office. I feel she is a incompetent dentist & over charges for her services.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
