Excellent care. Forward thinking and a definite problem solver. Looked at many options and figured out the best for me. I was a patient 30 years ago and now again. Definitely the best choice!
Excellent service and help.
Dr Tchekmedyian is an outstanding oncologist who is up to date with the latest treatment options and his recommendations are thoughtful and tailored to his patients. He has a wonderful bedside manner and clearly places his patients’ health and best interests as his top priority. He has treated me for 8 years and I give him the highest recommendation.
We have been referred to see the dr within a week of the prognosis but for some reasons the office cannot seem to give out an appointment for consultation. First, it was because no biopsy result. I would think, a preliminary biopsy result should be sufficient for a call-back. No, even after the final the biopsy result was sent. Still no call-back. I mean seriously how hard to give out an appointment? Even if the dr is on vacation, the least they could do is let the patient know. Or if they don't accept new patient, just say so, instead of stringing the family along. Really cruel!
I am very sad to post this, but i think people should know. I am not rating the Dr. but the office staff. I never visited the Dr. or should I say I could not. All thanks to his office staff who displayed their incompetency with being unable to secure me an appointment. Without going into much detail, the office staff did not call me back for an appointment upon reviewing my chart. Their fax machine was broken, for over 2 weeks. Knowing this they expected to receive fax's from my Dr.s office who sent them fax 4 separate times. Apparently they didn't receive any. They promised to call me back in 10 minutes and never did. Upon asking them for their lack of interest in making sure patients can secure an appointment, a lady's response was, we have a lot to do, so we can't fix the fax machine and help patients; we are a busy office. Hope the Dr is made aware of this and he is able to fix this for his practice. Unfortunately, I have to choose another Dr. as I don't want to deal with his incompetent, unempathetic office staff.

I love Dr. T. I’ve been seeing him since 2010. He is has provided excellent treatment and very caring. his office staff is friendly and I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes.
Simply the best oncologist around!
Dr. Tchekmedyian dedicated his time to research and he no longer deals directly with patients. When you call to make an appointment at his practice, Pacific Shores Medical Center in Long Beach, you will be seen by another doctor who is not as experienced as Dr. T.
If you want to wait an hour every time you go in - if you want to be stuffed into the most crowded, unpleasant room for hours at a time for chemotherapy - if you want the incompetent nurse to stab you numerous times before she can find a vein every time you go in - then this is the place for you.
