Good family medicine doctor. Been in practice many years. Has interesting bedside manor, which may come across as arrogant or awkward, but if you spend enough time with him and are prepared to take responsibility for your end of the partnership, he’s actually pretty caring. Unfortunately five star doctors are all in concierge practices these days, so for a corporate doctor, Son Nguyen is as good as it gets.

After dr visit, Took 6 phone calls and 1.5 days later to get him to issue my prescription. That’s absurd!

Where do I begin. I absolutely love Dr Son Nguyen and my mom has been his patient for at least 10 years but his office has grown that the office has suffered. It takes multiple phone calls with confirmation that paperwork/copies are going to be sent out or forwarded with no avail. And, don't get me started on getting a prescription refilled. The set up of the waiting room is outside the office so if you need to speak with someone...good luck. On one visit we saw the MD were told to wait in the waiting area until they have the follow up paperwork ready, we waited more than an hour after our visit, I could not wait any longer. I had to wait until they came to get another patient to tell them I couldn't wait any longer so they inform me they would mail it. One month later and multiple phone calls never received the lab requisition/referral to a specialist. I personally cannot subject my mother to this inept office management so we will be finding another physicians office...too many frustrations with this office.

I am so happy that dr CGanti chose dr Nguyen to replace him. He is very kind, caring, professional, and a wonderful diagnostiician. You wll not find a better doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr.Son Nguyen is my family care Dr., and I've only had to go to the medical office twice- when I had to go to Urgent care because of an onset of horrible pain in my esophagus, the follow up with him was soo relieving! He made sure I went to my appointments to the specialists he set up for me, and he actually called me with my blood results to make sure I was following thru with all my instructions- Dr.Nguyen is very "hometown"Doctor, the Kind of a Doctor you want as your "Family Care" Doc He Cares!! Thanks doc!

Dr. Nguyen is by far the most thorough, caring physician I have seen in the last 12 years since moving to Huntington Beach. He doesn't over-book and is genuinely interested in his patients. I have referred several of my friends to him and they all just love him as I do. His office staff are polite, smiling, courteous.
