Ever since Obamacare, the place has gone down hill, they do have multiple offices, the Whittier office is the busiest and worst, it s always packed and full of sick crying babies/kids, imagine going to DMV or welfare office, its exactly like that but you're waiting to see a Doctor. The staff on hand dont care for service, poor attitudes and they rarely ever follow up, places just sucks. I highly recommend going anywhere but here.

NEVER again will my child go see this doctor. We went here for the first time for his 2 month vaccines, which I wanted to space them out but they wouldn't do that and to also have him look at his circumcision. First of all, he took his PEN and drew on the tip on my son's wiener which left a scratch, then he LICKED HIS FINGER TO WIPE OFF THE PEN! How disgusting. I feel awful for taking my child here and I feel even more devastated that medi-cal only provides facilities and doctors like these to families who are on medi-cal. I didn't put my son on my insurance because it cost SO much money. I'd just be working to pay into insurance but now I realize there is no price tag on getting amazing care, cleanliness, and sanitation from a suitable doctor. DO NOT BRING you children here.

After I fill out the papers that everyone usually fills out when they go to a dentists or doctors office for the first time, Dr. Montes promised me that he would see my kids that same day because it was an emergency. He didn't follow through and ignored us after. Very unprofessional!

Gets the job done but dr montes is condescending. As a new mom I understand I'm learning but I wish he wouldn't be little me when I answer a question wrong. He was also my baby's dr in the hospital and was also condescending. Sometimes I ask why I gave him a chance.

The staff is rude and be ready to wait almost a hour each visit.

rude and confrontational. When I first made a visit to his office my oldest was a newborn. It was her appointment. At the time I was a new, young mother and a little defensive of that fact. So when he sighed as he begun to answer questions, I'm sure he's heard many times from new mothers, I let it go. The next visit two months later I was treated the same by Dr. Montes. My concerns were not addressed and I truely felt dismissed.Recently, six years have passed and I find myself in front of Dr. Montes again. He was recommended by my ob for my new daughter. This time I thought we could have a discussion about starting baby food at her 4 month check up. He asked if I had started feeding solids, when I started to give my answer he interupted me. We had started food. He asked why and again I begain to give my answer. Again I was interupted. My questions were not answered, I was not heard. We will not be giving this "doctor" any more chances. Personally I would not recommend him to anyone I knew. And have already advised two women I know to choose a different doctor for their new babies.

My children have been patients of Dr. Motnes for over 7 yrs and now my grandkids are patients as well. The issue is not with the Dr. but rather with the entire staff. Rude, uncaring, my experience with them has always been unstaisfied. One nurse gave my son his vaccine shot and after 7 yrs later the bruise mark is still present. The entire office has a negative attitude that at times I want to switch Dr. but Dr. Montes is really good that I at times deal with the incompetence and crap the staff dishes out but I retaliate and dont take it.

The wait at the office is exasperating! I've waited for as long as 2 1/2 hours WITH a scheduled appointment! This is bad enough for an adult, now imagine this with a baby in a room full of parents with annoyed babies. He talks to you as if you were dumb and doesn't listen to what you have to say. He also doesn't seem to take his time in diagnosing. It is even worse when he is on call. It seems he does not like speaking to patients over the phone, he is rude and impatient. When I called and told him my two-year-old had been throwing up for three days he asked me what the concern was. Without asking for any more information he prescribed medication for nausea. I followed my instincts and did not give my son the medication, we later found out the vomiting was being caused by excessive phlegm, a problem easily solved with a vaporizer and some Vicks. If this medical group must be used I would suggest Dr. Tran instead.
