Mediocre at best. Office staff is perhaps the worst I have ever encountered. The Orange County Urology Associates has one phone number for all their Drs. and you can never reach a 'live' person. Either wait on the phone for 15-60 minutes or leave a number for a call back. Have been in the care of four of their doctors. Two seemed to be incompetent, one more interested in promoting his ego, and one unable to listen. Unfortuntely my insurance only allows for that group.
Dr. Tammy Ho was assigned to my husband at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. She is dismissive and uncompassionate. At her office, it was a 1 hour wait to see her and the nurse who handled reinserting the catheter was inexperienced and my husband screamed in pain. Then the first available follow up was 5 weeks. It was all ridiculous. Got a new UCI urologist and its a wonderful dream compared to her and her office staff.
She is perhaps the worst doctor in their whole practice. She has zero patient communication skills, her staff is incompetent ( I am being generous), and it is impossible to reach her in an emergency. In fact, in order, to reach anyone it takes 45 minutes on the phone. If you have a choice, choose otherwise.
The absolute worst doctor I have ever been to in my life. She has no patient skills, never explains her treatment, acts irritable if you have a question, and it is impossible to get a hold of her or her staff.
TERRIBLE SERVICE! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a call back from Jessica Hernandez, their surgery scheduler. My wife left at least 6 voicemail messages over a period of two weeks and no call back. Their receptionist said to text Jessica so we did. Three times already and NO RETURN CALL! Dr. Ho is a nice person but her staff is the worst we have ever dealt with. Save yourself the aggravation and find a different doctor.
Office visit on April 23, 2021.My mom Stella H. was very disappointed how they have handled her as a patient. They left her in the examination room for 45 minutes without any attendance. The scope to examining her bladder also did not work. She left very disappointed, and she will not go back to that office anymore. The office staff were not friendly either. They have to get their act together.
This doctor has no bedside manner, seems bored and uninterested in patient care. Didn’t answer my questions and was rude.
DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Ho is nice, but the whole office and conglomerate is a hot mess. HORRIBLE SERVICE.Need a call back? Forget it you wont get it. Need a prescription refilled? Forget it it will take a month to get it done. Need a human being to answer the phone in less than 15 minutes? Nope not gonna happen. If you dont want call backs, medicines, lab results and if you want to wait in their waiting room for 45 minutes past your appointment time, then this is the place for you.
I have had two surgical procedures and at least 10 office appointments with Dr. Ho. It’s amazing to me that I have been so fortunate to have Dr. Ho as my urologist. She’s obviously brilliant and has an impeccable background but is always friendly personable and has a topnotch office staff and nursing staff. For me as a patient they make everything simple and effortless. From firsthand experience I definitely believe Dr. Ho is one of the best urologist in the country.

I had never been to a urologist before and was concerned about the bladder pain I was experiencing. Dr. Ho expressed a very caring and supportive attitude and took the time to answer all my questions. I left her office feeling relieved and satisfied with the quality of care I received.
This doctor has a bad attitude about helping people understand what is going on. I left knowing nothing more than that she couldn't operate on a cyst less than 15cm. I got no idea where it's located, if it could burst, and when I asked about nutrition ideas she only said "I'm not a nutritionist". She talked about the liver and recommended things that were false about that. She said it could be a rapidly increasing cyst and people won't feel pain but she is waiting 6 months to have it rechecked?!? She also laughs at you if you mention you looked at Google to try to help as if that's a terrible idea. I got more info about the kidney from my chiropractor and liver doctor than she gave me. She also wasn't even going to look at my stomach bulge (I didn't get a left kidney scan yet) until I stood up and basically made her remember to do it as she was ending the conversation. She's too busy trying to make you feel like an idiot. Also she looks like she just crawled out of bed.
