Dr. Chavez is an outstanding doctor who really listens to patient's needs

Dr. Chavez has been my doctor since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's hypothyroidism 7 years ago. he’s one of the best endocrinologists in southern california

Dr Chavez is a Dr that listens to the patients concerns, answers all questions and doesn't rush you out of his office. He is currently treating me for thyroid cancer and I couldn't be happier after my previous Dr retired. I wish I found Dr Chavez sooner. It is true that the front office needs improvement but that shouldn't take away from HIS reviews because he's great!

We had to find a new endocrinologist as our regular one retired and we were so nervous before the appt but Dr Chavez calmed our nerves immediately. He was so personable, caring and he actually listened to our concerns and addressed each question with sincerity. So glad we found him.

Excellent endocrinologist! Listens and works with his patients, is very knowledgeable and is aware of the latest research. Office very well run, easy to make appointments.

Dr Chavez is great. I have been seeing him for several years and he has assisted me in keeping my diabetes under control in the 6.4 range. The staff is great and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Chavez has a great bedside manner, unfortunately his office support staff is lousy and unprofessional. Its unfortunate because it has lost him me as a patient. As a new patient before I even stepped in the office I was contacted with a appointment reminder call and was told I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee if I decided to cancel. I hadn't even read or agreed/signed any of their new patient forms yet. After meeting with the Dr, we had a plan in place to get some blood labs done as well as an ultrasound. When I checked out I asked the scheduler if I should wait until I get an authorization from my insurance, I was told yes. Two weeks went by and no word so I contacted the office was put on hold and was told they didn't know anything and I should call my insurance. Since I have an HMO plan, i know that anything more that blood labs would require an authorization. The staff insisted that it was my responsibility to call my insurance. Rather than argue I had planned to give it a try but asked if they would please fax my order to the imaging center I had plans to contact. I was told that they didn't have my order. I questioned how its possible that the Dr place my order electronically and they had no record of it. The office staff just repeated the same response. At this point I decided I would no longer be willing to deal with an incompetent office no matter how much I liked the Dr. I asked if they would have the Dr. Call me with the blood lab results and cancel my upcoming appointment. I was then told for Dr. to call me back it would be a telephone consultation, I inform them i have no plans to ever go back because of the terrible service, they did not seem to care. It is ridiculous to not be able to ask for a call back from an ordering physician to get my lab results. Whoever is running this office should be ashamed of their office staff, there are many elderly very sick patients who go to this office and for them to get this treatment of doing to support staffs job for them is unacceptable.

Great caring doctor. Knows the ins and outs of endocrinology and explains it in simple understandable terms. Willing to listen and spend the needed time to make sure you are comfortable with his recommendations. Best referral that my primary care doctor ever made to me

Dr. Chavez is one of the best Doctors I have been to. He listens and is very thorough. He went through all my blood test results making notes for my reference and gave me a copy. He is prompt with appointments and is very pleasant.

I love Dr. Chavez. He is kind and caring. Front office staff is lacking though.
