In the 10 plus years, Dr. Hwang was my moms Primary Care Physician, she was ok. She suggested what my 85 year old mom should do, nothing specific, absolutely no follow through. I don’t think Dr Hwang did enough to help with my moms high blood pressure, dementia, thrombosis or just lack of ability to care for herself. I have been a patient of Dr. Hwang's for about 10 years and am very happy with her. She always spends a lot of time with me and answers all my questions. She takes good care of me.

Dr. Hwang was my primary care physician for 2 years before I changed to one at UCI. My concern was her lack of thoroughness, listening to but not following up on complaints of shortness of breath, pains in specific areas of the body, etc. I am now happy with a doctor who is pro-active when I describe a certain set of symptoms.

I've been seeing Dr. Hwang for several years. She is by far the best primary care physician I have ever seen. She is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. She always has time to listen to my concerns and questions, and always asks if there is anything else she can help me with. Her front office staff are courteous and professional. I have also found them to be extremely helpful. My entire family sees Dr. Hwang and we all love her!!

Arrogance and response to financial incentives drives her actions. I had to leave her because of that. Frankly, family practice doctors are like used car mechanics- no real knowledge, except certification to dispense drugs and order tests. Rest goes to the "real" doctors or specialists. When financial incentives hold them from doing these basic activities, you know they are bad.

Dr. Hwang really is among the best physicians I've known. She's thorough and conscientious. I've never had a rushed appointment or questions unanswered, and she's been easily available when needed. It's first class medical care.

Outstanding doctor. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Hwang for over 12 years. She is always thoroughly prepared for each visit, has excellent listening and communication skills, and her follow up is amazing. She gets back to you to answer your questions or concerns or to refill or change medications almost immediately, sooner than we would ever expect, including on weekends and vacations via NextMD. (Worried she might get burned out because she is so conscientious.) Lab results are sent to you immediately. Plans of care are meaningful reminders for you to follow, not just fill in the blanks to satisfy regulatory bodies. My husband and I are elderly, with long problem lists. She stays on top of it all, including all the preventive vaccines, etc. Amazing. Best Internist we've ever had in our years of living in different locations.

I have been with Dr Hwang for 10+ years. She is an excellent doctor always patient, answers all your questions. No rushing you through an appointment. Her office staff are friendly and effecient. I highly recommend her.
