List of Ebonie Vincent, Dpm's Reviews
I have congenitally deformed feet and had a hammertoe. Getting into my 60's I developed severe pain in my arch. I was referred to Dr. Ebonie Vincent. After deliberation I decided to let Dr. Vincent scrape the bones in my arch and put in a plate with screws ( with the intent to have the arch fuse, then also fix the hammer toe and my little broken toe. A month before the scheduled surgery the pain went away in the arch (it is in her medical notes) and when I talked to her about it prior to surgery she said: 1. The pain could be gone because the arch could have fused naturally. 2. She did not need to do the surgery for the arch because of that. 3. Insurance companies do not like to pay for surgery where there is no pain. I went in for the surgery for the toes. I was the last surgery of the day. I was tired and hungry and not in a state of mind to think clearly and defend myself. Dr. Vincent came in 1 1/2 hours late and showed me xrays of my foot on her phone and that she wanted to do the extensive surgery on my arch. Today, (3 years later) the arch has still not fused and I cannot walk more than 100 feet without pain. She says she is a Christian so I tried to talk to her about this to keep her reputation intact, but she refused, so I with sadness write this posting.
Horrible. I'm crippled and have no quality of life After receiving Dr. Vincent's bunion surgery
I was so excited to see Dr. Vincent. I personally prefer female doctors and like to support them whenever possible. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience, and I will be looking for an orthopedist now. Dr. Vincent is very friendly and easy to talk with, but she seemed a bit too keen on performing surgery as a fix for two different foot problems that I am having. Although I'm sure it's possible for two foot problems to be related, she couldn't really explain why or how they were related. I was feeling skeptical at that point. When I told my physical therapist what Dr. Vincent said, she did not agree that the problems were related or that I needed surgery and told me to get a second opinion. The day that I saw Dr. Vincent, she sent me for X-rays, which may have helped explain the problems, but I haven't been able to get the results after two weeks of waiting and calling the office. I am trying to get the office to send me the results so that I can take them to someone else who will actually respond to my messages. I realize that doctors and their offices are busy, but for comparison, my son's orthopedist always calls us the same day he gets the results of x-rays. The patient should not have to call multiple times over two weeks to get results. I'm glad to read other positive reviews about this doctor, but for me, there were a few red flags that do not make me feel comfortable returning to the practice.
My husband was referred to Dr. Vincent by our primary care physician after his initial podiatrist left the area. We have always used the office in Orange since it is the most convenient. From the first visit we found Dr. Vincent to be a professional and patient physician. She answered any and all of our questions and explained additional techniques we could do at home to help with some of his foot issues. Each time we go the office staff is professional and friendly and the wait time is minimal. We would happily recommend Dr. Vincent.
Get 2nd or 3rd opinions if surgery is suggested. Hands on surgery experience feels too new in my opinion. Nice bedside manner but do your research. 2 other doctors had less intrusive fix for my issue and now I'm good. I didn't need her surgery recommendation afterall.
At the first visit Dr. Vincent is very pleasant, knowledgeable with a wonderful bedside manner. She told me I needed surgery 3 months ago. Sandra the surgery scheduler has never called me to schedule surgery. I had to call her. She mumbled a few words and said she or Dr. Vincent would get back to me to schedule surgery. It's been weeks, months of this runaround and I will need to go elsewhere if I want any help.
WHEN YOU ARE THE BEST IN ALL CATEGORIES THERE ARE NO OTHER WORDS TO ENHANCE IT.
We have been to Dr Vincent a few times for ingrown toe nails. The 1st appointment was easy and efficient. I was seen the next day after phoning and at the Irvine location. Since my 1st appointment it has been really difficult to schedule appointments with her. The office staff are rude and arrogant and will only book you in at the Orange location. After a long time on the phone with the office staff I decided to accept the Orange location booking, as an ingrown toe nail cannot wait for weeks. Dr Vincent talked us into doing a procedure as she said that will stop a repeat ingrown. I went ahead trusting her expertise as a podiatrist. We did the procedure and after a week the toe was even worse and badly infected. I went back and she said there was still a piece of nail left from the procedure causing the infection. Which is the reason I did the procedure to not have to have this again. She then charged us our co-pay for the visit to fix her mistake from the procedure and told us to come in again for a check up which would incur another charge. It seems that all she is interested in is getting repeat visits instead of resolving the problem we came in for. She never even called either time to see how the toe was afterwards. Nearly $1000 spent and procedures done , we still have the issue of persistent ingrown toenails . Think carefully before you choose this podiatrist.
Dr Vincent is professional, incredibly patient and has a great bedside manner. Her office is timely (most of the time).
She's wonderful. Funny, and at the same time, very knowledgeable and sweet.
