Elaine A. Gan-Yong's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gan has been our 3 kids pediatrician since their birth. She is top notch because she goes above and beyond any pediatrician to make sure your child is healthy and properly seen. She personally follows up on any details. She's a Mom too so she understand the importance of keeping kids healthy. I respect her knowledge in the medical field and any medical advice she provides for my kids. She also makes sure you get excellent referrals if needed. Highly recommend her! You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Gan has taken care of my daughters through chronic sickness and everyday growing pangs. She always took the time to connect with them and hear what they had to say. This made it really special for my girls as it helped them feel that their voices were heard. Thank you Dr. Gan for helping our family through the years by being there for us.

Dr. Gan-Yong is amazing! She has been my doctor for over 16 years. She is the only doctor that I have ever had that takes the time to get to know her patients and spends time with them to address their needs. She truly takes the time to build a personal relationship with her patients. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Gan-Yong's care and expertise. We need more caring doctors like her.

I would recommend Dr. Gan to any parent, as a now adult patient of hers. Dr. Gan takes the time to understand the patient. She listens to patients and does what is best for them, not just what is assumed to be best for them. I am so lucky to have grown up in her care. The people who have given her fewer stars below are literally anti-vaxxers who are mad that Dr. Gan is advocating for the life of their child and the lives of other children around them. It is atrocious to see these people slandering the name of an excellent doctor that Hoag is lucky to have. Other folks testifying to her amazing work have reviews that are for some reason being buried in the "not recommended reviews", so Yelp, get it together.Please choose Dr. Gan if you want holistic and personalized care.

There are not enough words to describe how much my family loves and appreciates Dr. Gan. My kids get excited to go to "Dr. Gan's House". I have a 7 and 9 year old and she has been their doctor since their first appointment at 2 days old. When I was a crazy new mom, with my first child, I would come in with a list of questions. I was probably so annoying! She never made me feel like she had anywhere else to be except for right there answering my millions of questions. She is so patient, kind, and funny with the kids.Most importantly she has been there when things are very hard. My daughter was having some very scary issues. She needed specialists and an MRI. Dr. Gan ordered the MRI before we even saw the specialist. The specialist asked to have the order changed to include the brain and Dr. Gan did it and called me within 30 minutes to let me know that she had changed it. When we couldn't get in fast enough, she called me again, immediately, and spoke with me on the phone. I was crying and she was trying to calm my worst fears. She moved the order to urgent and we got in, in 2 days. The same day we went for the MRI Dr. Gan got the results at 5:01pm and called me immediately with the good news. She said that she knew how important the results were and had been checking all day so that she could call me as soon as they came in. I have never been more grateful for anything like I have for that after hours call. Due to the problems that caused the need for the MRI still persist, she has been in immediate contact with the specialist (even on the weekends) to keep the process moving quickly. For 9 years my kids have loved her, but I had no idea the lengths she would go for us until now! Dr. Gan isn't just your average GP, she is the best doctor that anyone could ever ask for!!

We drive from Newport to see Dr. Gan in her Foot Hill Ranch location for a reason. I'm also a healthcare provider & she came highly recommended from several colleagues. She has a broad knowledge & experience in her field which is clearly evident. I have referred many others, including family & friends to her practice & we've all been very happy & pleased. She takes her time to fully educate you which is a big plus in making decisions such as vaccinations, nutrition, etc properly & without any pressure. We fully trust Dr. Gan. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking proper care for their kids. Thank you Dr. Gan for taking such awesome care of my family.

Dr. Gan is the BEST pediatrician we've ever had. She is kind, listens to parents and children's concerns. Honest and realistic for any needs be it medicine or additional testing. She is willing to get help with and obtain specialists as needed. My little adventurer sure kept us busy, but we always got the best care possible! I'm SO blessed she was on duty when we had our daughter born at Hoag. Been working with her for the past 8 years and I wouldn't change it for the world... until we had to move to Florida. I can only hope and pray we get someone as amazing as Dr. Gan. The rest of the team here is also amazing with walk in sick hour and we have always had same day appointments for immediate needs. Thank you Dr. Gan for your compassion and understanding of children's health and parent's worries!

Dr Gan is definitely the answer to prayers! As a new (anxious) mother she has been the definition of patience, support & guidance. I work in the medical field & have met many pediatricians and Dr Gan is by far the best in her field. She is the epitome of a "good listener" when it comes to voicing my concerns. Dr Gan is vested in the health of my child & it is clear only wants the very best for him. Regarding some of the other ugly reviews...I have no idea who they are writing about because it is definitely NOT a description of Dr Gan.

Dr. Gan-Yong has been my family's pediatrician for 16 years, for all three of my kids. I initially went to a different pediatrician after the birth of my first child, but that doctor was aloof and impersonal. I asked a PT friend of mine for recommendations for another pediatrician in the area, and she recommended Dr. Gan-Yong. What I like about Dr. Gan-Yong is that she is friendly and personable. When I first met her, I immediately felt at ease in her presence. She gives off a very relaxed, down-to-earth vibe - not rushed or stressed or abrupt like so many busy doctors nowadays. She also has a straightforward and clear way of talking, and not at all condescending. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions at every visit, and seems quite knowledgeable and experienced in her field. I trust Dr. Gan-Yong explicitly with all of my children's medical care and feel lucky to have her as our pediatrician.
