List of Family Care Centers - Irvine's Reviews
Dr. Howard Fishbein is a colleague and my physician. He is so professional, kind, endearing, and funny. I am truly lucky to have found him. Highly recommend his clinic.
I love it here! I was so sad when my insurance got change to Anthem yet I am so glad I found Dr. Lee. She is such a nice person, very thorough and listens attentively. I am so comfortable speaking up to her about my health. Also I like Eddie! she is so nice to me and very approachable. No wonder they are called FCC cause everyone feels like a family. I Highly recommend Dr. Lee
I’m very disappointed with my experience at this office. My husband and I both scheduled back to back appointments in August as new patients for our annual physicals. We had appointments with Dr. Howard Fishbein for the same type of visit, an annual checkup with routine blood work. During my visit, I mentioned my vitamin D deficiency and that I wanted my thyroid checked. My husband also discussed his health history and the specific tests he needed. The doctor wrote down the labs for both of us and referred me to an OB-GYN for a mammogram, and he shared information about a specialist for my husband. My husband’s visit was billed as an annual preventive exam, fully covered by insurance. But my visit was coded as a regular office visit, so I was billed $220. When I called my insurance, they confirmed the billing code came from the doctor’s office as a regular visit and not as a preventive visit, which would have been fully covered by my insurance. I called the office three times and left voicemails for the office manager , but she didn’t respond. So I went to the office and spoke with her and I was told that because I talked about my vitamin D and thyroid, and because the doctor referred me out for a pap smear and mammogram instead of doing them there, my visit did not count as an annual checkup. I have never had a pap smear and mammogram done during my annual physical exam before, so that explanation makes no sense, especially when my husband, in the same time frame and same situation, was billed as an annual physical. What worries me more is that I later saw another review here describing almost the exact same problem, a routine physical turned into an office visit simply because the patient mentioned a medical history issue. That tells me this is not just a one time mistake but a pattern in how this office handles billing and coding. I feel like I was penalized for being honest about my health concerns during what I believed was my annual exam. The lack of willingness to review or correct the billing has completely damaged my trust. I would advise future patients to be very cautious about billing practices here and to double check how your visit is coded, especially if you schedule it as an annual physical. I will be looking for a different primary care provider.
Dr. Bunten here at Family Care Centers in Irvine is the best doctor ever and the staff are all always super professional, friendly, and remember me from previous calls and visits. There's a really awesome close-knit feel that I really enjoy as a patient alongside the A++ care I'm able to receive from Dr. Bunten and the systems and equipment they have in place. Super happy with the care I'm receiving here!!
87 year-old man arrive for his appointment and the girl upfront is too rude to tell us we’re at the wrong urgent care office. Figuring out what happened In 10 minutes I overheard two clients being told somebody else made mistakes. Nope, I think the staff sucks In response to your reply I was one of three mistakes in your office and your excuse is a lousy one
I am a new patient for Dr Hye Lee, she is great. She took time to listen and did not try to rush out of the room. Highly recommand her if you need a caring doctor.
Highly recommend! I didn't catch the woman's name at the front desk this morning but she was so nice. She had blonde hair! She was really caring! Outstanding customer service! The young man that took the blood was amazing too! Thank you!
I’ve always had really positive experiences with Dr Lee. She’s consistently professional, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I followed her to this new location because I’ve always felt well cared for under her guidance. I really appreciate how she takes the time to listen without making me feel rushed, which makes a big difference during appointments. She’s helpful and clear when explaining things, and I always leave feeling like my concerns were taken seriously. It’s reassuring to have a doctor who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely caring. I’m glad to have found someone I trust with my care.
Receptionist dismissed the issue, blamed insurance, and hung up on me when I asked to speak with someone who could help. No effort was made to resolve or escalate the issue despite the urgency I communicated.
Sorry, please see previous review. I don't see a reply button on here, but someone from this office replied and said I may have the wrong business. I just want to say I do not have the wrong business. I called the customer service/billing department and they removed the charge so easily that I feel like this must happen often. Also another tip for people who are new to urgent care centers like me. Don't go to this one since you're not seeing a doctor, only a nurse. I had to pay again to see another general doctor in order to be referred to a specialist. Good luck

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
