Honestly, you cannot have people waiting 20 minutes on the phone. You should have automated call back or something. OR, at least come back on the line to let us know that you’ll be right with us or something. It was complete silence the whole time! You should have proper phone etiquette with your patients. I just gave you the know how above, use it! It’ll make your office look better.

Doctor Yu seems to be nice, however the office billing system was very out of date. Payment can be only made by mailing in a check or calling the office to pay by card. However, the phone line was down and call couldn't go through. I wish they could have easier way to save some stress.

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy had issues following it but was not contacted for 1 week or given instructions how to reach him post procedure for an Emergency. I called several times leaving messages to his office which I googled.

I have been going to Dr. Frank Yu for years. he has performed two procedures, so far. However, now he seems to be full of hidden costs so beware. I have an HMO and even contacted them about my upcoming procedure and was told that it was completely covered with Anthem Blue Cross HMO. Not so with Dr Yu. My first two procedures were covered completely by my insurance. However, just days before my third procedure, I received a text indicating there was an additional $100 charge. I called to inquire about the charge. I recieved a phone message that there were even more charges with the anesthesiologist and the doctor as well. I kept the message for reference so I have proof. I also left a message stating if I did not get it in writing that my insurance covered all costs, I would cancel the procedure. I spoke with Molly from the Barranca Surgery Center the following day and suddenly my insurance would cover everything but the $100 copay. I won't go on as it is a long story, but get it in writing there will not be any additional charges or else you may have a surprise. This rating does not reflect his good service. This is an ethical issue. Dr. Yu, be upfront with your patients. Explain all costs during consultation. Honesty is the best policy.

I have visited Dr. Yu for over 10 years not just because of his remarkable medical skills, but because of his empathy and patience. Before all of my gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures Dr. Yu always makes sure to explain the process in great detail, but in a way that is easy to understand. After the procedure he will then give me a breakdown which includes photos where he explains them one by one. He also always does a great job of prescribing me the right medications for my symptoms. In my 10 years of visiting Dr. Yu I have never felt any fear before a procedure because he always goes above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable. I have also never felt any pain after a procedure because of his great skills. He is a great doctor who I highly recommend. Thank you Dr Yu for looking after my health over the years!

Dr Yu was very thorough and knowledgeable during my prep for Colonoscopy. He and his staff made me feel easy and comfortable during procedures. After the operation, Dr Yu explained to me in detail what he found in the procedure. He prescribed the prescription and showed me what to pay attention to my diet. I am very satisfied with the procedure Dr Yu performed for me.
