List of Hoag Cancer Center Irvine's Reviews
One star is being generous. I have been treated for breast cancer since July. I would NEVER use Hoag again. Here are only a few of the issues I have dealt with in my treatment: 1) BILLING - oh my gosh what a nightmare. They have incorrectly coded almost every treatment. When I call my doctor's office, the cashier's office, the onsite Quest office, and the oncology team NO ONE WILL HELP ME. I have been billed for over $150,000 and no one will help me in straightening this out. They just say "I'm sorry". No matter how many times I request help, they will agree to your face, but do nothing. 2) When you call with issues, you cannot reach anyone. They tell you that you can use a nurse navigator. These navigators will not help and will not pick up the phone. They do not navigate anything. When you try to call any other department at the Irvine location, you get sent into an endless queue with no one ever picking up the phone. 3) Hoag's My Chart is never accurate. They send you countless emails asking you to update your account. They never make the corrections to your account that you make with either the nurse or My Chart. How many times do I have to tell you that I stopped taking a specific prescription over 10 years ago yet you still have it associated with me as an active drug? So frustrating! When you are dealing with cancer, you DO NOT NEED the headache that Hoag will cause you throughout your care. You may get treated for cancer, but their care will cause you heart ache.
He is a fabulous dermatologist. He is very professional and thorough. He explains what the situation and I had a procedure done and it was great. His office staff is very professional and kind. All in all very professional. I look forward to going to his office in six months
The Doctors are always 30-45 minutes late to every appointment and lack decent bed side manner or compassion.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
