Hoag Clinic's Online Review Report Card

This location does not help when you schedule an appointment to see a doctor in my recent experience. My daughter had non covid related symptoms and we needed a doctor to check for a possible sinus infection since she had sinus pressure. They would not let us go inside and the doctor would not allow a visit without a negative covid test. A nurse came to complete the test and then We were told that we could go home and wait for a phone call to confirm the test was negative to discuss options after which never came. We left without her ears being checked and no vitals being reviewed other than her temperature which was fine. I better not receive a bill for services since no appt happened and no doctor was willing to take the time to help. Sad that doctors don’t seem to really want to help at this location. Steer clear and go to a location where people actually do want to help patients with other symptoms that are not related to covid. BTW I did call and the person who answered the phone said the doctor was busy with patients but would call me back. I did confirm the phone number on file was correct…I never received a call. Thanks for terrible service. This is not expected of Hoag.

I went here today and all of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I especially appreciated Dr. Burke.

I will drive a bit out of my way to this urgent care because they were able to see me right away and all of the personnel are very nice people. The PA was knowledgeable about sciatica issues and took the time to research a Physical Therapist on my HMO plan that sees patients after 5 pm. Thank you I appreciate the extra help.😊

I did a virtual visit with one of the NPs for a sinus infection 3 days ago. The NP was great and listened to me and prescribed me the antibiotics I needed to get rid of this awful infection. I have had countless sinus infections in my life and to have it taken care of before it turns into bronchitis is the best case situation as it increasingly gets worse quickly. My whole family has been experiencing worse allergies than normal recently so I know this is what has brought this on. My husband just came down with the same symptoms I had and so I made him a virtual appointment so he could get his sickness under control and not have to miss work. The NP wouldnt even do a virtual appointment with him and said he just needed to use over the counter stuff. I immediately called and asked to speak to the supervisor and asked why my husband had been treated differently than me while we had the same symptoms. She told me someone would be giving me a call back and I still have yet to receive a call. I am almost 100% better 3 days later and now my poor husband will probably be sick for at least a couple weeks because of unfair treatment.

I had a lacerated finger and unexpected needed medical attention. I went over to UCI however they were short staffed and being unable to help me they suggested that I go to Hoag urgent care. I drove over to Hoag and they weren’t too busy so after a brief wait of less than 10 minutes I was being seen by a nurse. A few moments later I was seen by a physician asst. and both of these medical professionals appeared to be very well prepared to provide me with the care I needed and in a very short period of time. I was in and out in under a half hour. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of urgent medical care.

My whole experience at this facility was incredible. Front desk lady was delightful care assistant [Alan?] was amazing and the physician [Wayland Tang] was dynamite. An all star team.He drained an abscess close to my elbow today. He could not have been more thorough. His bedside manner was as good as anyone could hope for. I developed a staph skin infection on Friday too late to get an appointment with my primary care doctor.   I had 4 lesions on my left leg and they itched and stung all night Saturday so that I could hardly sleep.  I went to Hoag urgent care Sunday morning. After passing the Covid safety questions I was allowed to enter and in no time at all I was weighed and shown into an examination room.  the wait for the doctor was short. At first he thought I had insect bites but he listened to me about my symptoms and prescribed a topical antibiotic and something for the itching. I am 84 and he treated me with respect and did not patronize me.  The topical medication worked and the lesions healed up.

I had a damaged thumb from an encounter with a saw blade. They took me straight in and started accessing my condition. Eventually they gathered my insurance info but not before they started working on me. I appreciate that. I think they were happy to get a case that was not Covid related. The various practitioners came and went quickly and I was on my way.

Quick professional and kind. From the reception to the treatment all staff was thoughtful and kind. I was seen quickly and was well taken care of.

Their service is quick and professional.I waited outside for maybe 8 minutes. Close to hone.
