The doctors are great and the staff is so helpful. Recommend!!! Very thorough.

Came here for a pre-op covid test and everything was efficient and smooth. There is plenty of room for the people waiting to spread out and the receptionists and staff were very helpful and friendly.It's a very clean and new location with plenty of parking.

So So good this before my procedure.

You've forgotten the people. My wife had a procedure because of a miscarriage and the front desk wouldn't let me be with her at any point. This isn't a no big deal, check in check out kind of thing and I felt like that's how Hoag treats miscarriage. I had to watch my wife cry as she filled out the paperwork because the front desk wouldn't let me past the front door, yelling at me when I tried to give her a hug to leave. I felt like I had to barge in to ask a question, to plead my case that I needed to be there for my wife.I finally got a call from the doctor and the post op RN and was able to get back to her.Issues - we arrived on time, but the door was locked. They opened the door at 6:30 (30 min late) and wrote on my wife's paperwork that she arrived late. - Didn't understand if the doctors were in or out of network. Seemed like simple questions were understood. - Didn't take the time to understand, listen and helpPlease take the time to train / update policy to help families going through emotional surgeries and not force them to be apart when going through loss.Thank you

I had a wonderful experience with my nurse & my doctor but at the end as I was requesting for my doctor note to be corrected on the date of care “Emily” the front desk lady is very rude & her demeanor was not a great ending & still left with pain due to my diagnosis for the day. People need to be really humble & not have a attitude because of their position, I worked with doctors and never in my life would want to work with a person with a attitude, if you’re going to be a nurse have some understanding please, there is no excuse to have a bad attitude.

Been calling for a month to get a second epidural done, still not a single call back.. Took over a month for then to call back to get my first one done. What is going on at this facility?! Advanced Pain Management & Spine Center / Alfred J. Beshai, MD.

This place needs a lot of work. Some of the staff were great 👍 to interact with while others seemed to be in competition with their coworkers to see who can be more rude to the patient and their caregivers. If given a choice, I must recommend going anywhere else. It is truly sad to see people working in the health care industry that are so inept and discourteous towards their customers.

Dr. Nathan Chung is an outstanding wound care doctor. I am very grateful for his excellent care.

Please stay away from Hoag Irvine. If you have an emergency, please ask to be taken to a different ER. My mom was taken to the ER here - we've been here for 8 hours and we are still waiting for our MRI. They apparently have only one MRI machine across the entire hospital so it's a constant waiting game. They keep putting others before us and will put pressure on you to stay overnight. Not a single nurse has proactively checked up on us during our 8 hour stay here. If you call for help, they will just forget about you and will not respond until you've ringed them 3x times. Even then, they will come after 45+ mins. I understand ERs can get crazy, but this is beyond ridiculous. We've been really patient the entire day, yet I've received no apology or empathy for the situation. No proactive communications / expectation setting from anyone here. We came here for the emergency medical attention she needs. Instead, we've basically been locked up in a room with no food / water allowed and not even the basic attention she needs. This has been a horrendous experience and I would never want to put my mom or any family member through this experience again. I had wonderful experience with Hoag Newport in the past - please go there instead.

I am 7 months status post surgery for invasive lobular carcinoma. I found Hoag Cancer treatment to be extremely difficult and stressful to navigate. Making follow up appoints is like pulling teeth, the doctors don't communicate and the referrals never seem to happen without a degree of difficulty. While the breast imaging, biopsy and surgery went well, the Radiation and Oncology left me seeking care elsewhere. I ended up going to Missions Radiation program and it was honestly a wonderful and easy experience. I was happy to give them the 28k worth of business. Be advised the secretarial staff at hoag is inefficient - they don't answer phones and they don't return your calls unless you hound them. Very unprofessional and a barrier to good care. Try UCLA, City of Hope or Mission.
