Irvine Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

We went here because the website said they have on-site CT scans and MRI testing (for a recent fall hitting my head). Neither was actually available on-site, and we had to drive to Laguna Niguel to get an MRI (no CT scan available there, either).

I have been going to Irvine Urgent Care since 2018, and my experiences there have consistently been exceptional. From my very first visit for a bad cold, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the outstanding patient service, and the genuine care shown by the entire staff -- especially Dr. Vesal. Over the years, Dr. Vesal has treated me for a staph infection as well as respiratory and allergy-related issues. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, caring, and highly competent in his field. His attention to patients and commitment to quality care truly stand out. Hands down, this is the best medical facility I have ever visited.

Waited alone for 25 minutes in the waiting room. No updates on how long it would take to see a nurse or doctor. Finally got taken to a room to be told I would have to wait 30 minutes to get an X-ray as everyone was out to lunch. What kind of 'urgent' care is this? Not one I recommend if you really need medical attention.

This place is excellent Dr V. Has known me for years whenever Iv had urgent care needs and imaging 10 stars A+ plus -The very best. They also hire the very best healthcare in there office, as well as in imaging in laguna they are a part of South Coast Imaging from the front desk person biggest thanks, also to the Imaging tech support thank you. My mother has heart and now memory ,with r a and a few extra needs. Its been alot. They help so much.!!! It has healped me fill in the gaps, that University Hospitals can miss. They have made my health care and mainly my mother's better . I think Urvine Urgent Care is better than Ucla. Its amazing. I cant say thank you enough for the help with my aging mother and her needs. Its been very hard, . I have noticed at Irvine Urgent Care- Vanessa N P, the nurse practitioner is maybe the best Iv ever met I have met so many. In my mom's care Vanessa is spot on with her health care and understanding, and evaluation, helped ordering imagining for a brain scan for U C irvine nurologist. I was completely taken care of in a matter of minutes. The staff was amazing and friendly. I had poison oak that had gotten worse and they were able to fix me right up. Thank you to the entire staff for their professional and courteous response.

The doctor was so friendly and listened well but finally failed to produce the result. After both of my kids tested positive for Influenza a few days ago, I also started developing the symptoms. My kids were taken to Exer urgent care in Irvine but due to my long term relation with Irvine Urgent care and being lazy to fill the new patient form, I chose this place. I explained the doctor that there are already two positive cases in the same household and I have almost similar symptoms. But the nurse performed a sub standard test for collecting the specimen. He inserted the cotton swab and it hardly touched my nostrils.It took only one or two seconds. Before I could lift my mask to ask, he was done with it and left the room. Then the doctor showed up again and said you don't have flu and don't need flu medication.The worst part yet to come- they did not test for strep and don't know if I have a bacterial infection. just because of a possible secondary infection I was prescribed for Levofloxacin, one of the most potent fluoroquinolone antibiotic which can have serious side effects like tendon rupture or nerve damage. FDA and other health authorities recommend reserving levofloxacin only for patients with no other treatment options. Was I really needed this just for preventing a possible bacterial infection? Anyway being unsatisfied with the nurse's substandard testing and the doctor's decision not to give me flu medicine, I made a visit to Exer the very next day (in less than 18 hours). They conducted test for Influenza, covid and strep. Tested positive for the 1st -no wonder and negative for other two. I was prescribed for TamiFlu for helping my body to fight against the flu virus. So at the end, Irvine Urgent care fails in three areas. 1) under trained nurses who dont have much knowledge how to collect specimen 2) The doctor over trust the substandard test conducted by his staff ignoring the rationale (two positive cases in household here) 3) Reckless to prescribe medicine with serious side effects where the situation doesn't warrant

I get really bad asthma here and there and my nebulizer was not working I was able to call them to see if they offer breathing treatments. I got here and everything went smooth I was able to get a breathing treatment the staff was chill and it was a no hassle visit. Would recommend!

I woke up feeling awful with a very high fever. I am in from out of town so I yelped to figure out where to go. I had an incredibly caring and nurturing experience here. Everybody was kind they recognized that I was very sick and they took action immediately. I didn't wait very long and I felt very comfortable with their medical advice in their practices. I was able to take a little nap. They gave me fluids. They gave me antibiotics And a good recommendation for a place to get yummy soup at a Chinese restaurant. They even gave me the address to the Cvs because like I said I'm from out of town. This was such a good experience and literally by the time I walked out the door I felt half alive instead of half dead. Excellent doctor excellent nurses excellent staff. Very professional. Clean office. And it was quiet so i was able to nap peacefully. Great experience at Irvine urgent care.

Came here because I injured myself working out and needed to get it checked out. I appreciate the convenience of this place having imaging on site. The staff was cool and the doctors were attentive. Was not too long of a wait and everything felt straight forward.
