List of Jennifer L. Wu's Reviews
Dr. Wu delivered my daughter and it was a great experience. We had some unexpected challenges (developed pre-eclampsia, baby had meconium) but I felt totally safe in Dr. Wu's hands. She was calm and reassuring, she had a strategy for the issues and explained to me exactly what the plan was throughout the night, and everything went perfectly - happy, healthy mom and baby. The next day, she even came by to check on us. I would 100% recommend her. We moved away and now I'm struggling to find an ob as good as Dr. Wu, and a practice as good as Manhattan Women's Health.
Absolutely wonderful-intelligent, patient, warm and beyond caring. Took her time explaining things to me... went above and beyond-just a overall pleasant experience!
I have a medical issue affecting my brain - which I told the receptionist and the technican. When the issue of dilation I came up with the technician, I wanted to speak with the doctor. The tech assured there would be no issues. Instead, I almost passed out and was left in severe agony. I spent over 10 minutes calling out for help, and no one came. The doctor should have been notified of my condition, and should have thoroughly weighed the pros and cons with me, giving me more information. I would have opted not to do the dilation and been saved from agony. Either she wasn’t notified or didn’t care enough to personally check. I brought my concerns up with the tech, who just brushed me off. The doctor came in and was pleasant, but I believe the whole issue was a result of negligence and malpractice.
Worked very well with my son. She was very knowledgeable and informative when treating his dermoid on his cornea.
Horrible doctor. Rushed uncaring and egotistical. Picked the wrong profession.
This is a very uncaring person. She does not explain what she is doing and thus violates patient's trust. She obviously cannot be bothered to think about people's emotions. Steer clear.
This is a horrible and uncaring person. She rushes through appointments and takes no time to ensure her patient's comfort. She builds no trust and clearly does not care about the people she is working with.
Dr. Wu was an excellent doctor during my pregnancy up until delivery. She really was amazing how she coached me through the delivery. I felt confident under her supervision and was so thankful to have her as my doctor. I'm pregnant again and I hope she delivers my next baby.
Dr. Wu is part of Manhattan Women's Health, and there are two other doctors there, Dr. Abe Shahim (not much experience with him) and Dr. Melissa Duperval (very nice and caring). Dr. Wu is the worst part of this practice. Her bedside manner is rushed, fear-based and rude. At 28 weeks pregnant when I told her I wanted a natural birth she tried to talk me out of it, citing pain as to why I'd still want an epidural. I was induced at 6 days overdue (6 days! That's nothing!), in which my induction didn't even work. After 36 hours on Pitocin, Cervadil and no progression (also no eating or drinking and continuous fluids), I had a c-section. The practice itself is usually always super busy and rushed, which isn't the best, but it's tolerable. But if you want a practice that is actually concerned about you and takes their time to hear your concerns and wants/needs, skip this place. Dr. Wu is forever in my mind as a horrible doctor and she truly ruined what should have been a life-long happy memory.
I had a great experience with Manhattan Women's Health and Dr Wu. She was the doctor on call when our daughter was born and she was calm which was what I needed considering we were 2 weeks early. She followed up the next day and checked in. I felt very well taken care of by all the doctors at the practice and even though we've moved farther out to Long Island would deliver with them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
