Joyce C. Chen's Online Review Report Card

I paid dr Joyce chen for a procedure and no she will not return my phone calls or email’s. She is not trustworthy. I hope she will call me now before I take her to court

Had surgery on 3/12 and a revision surgery on 12/7/2021. My neck looks worse and I'm still in pain. Will not refund my $10,500 and has ignored all requests.

From the first day I met Dr. Chen I felt very comfortable in her knowledge of plastic surgery. I did a lot of research before I picked going to Dr. Chen. She was always very straight with her answers, explained to me what she thought was best for me and talked myself and my husband through every step of my procedure. I had a breast augmentation, breast lift, extended tummy tuck and lipo in my stomach and back. The day of surgery I was very nervous, the nurse at the surgical center were so nice and praised Dr. Chen as much as I did. When Dr. Chen arrived, she made me feel at ease. I am currently almost 8 weeks post op and I have NO REGRETS! If I were to do it again, I would a thousand times with Dr. Chen. After surgery, she contacted me at home to make sure I was doing well, gave me a number to contact her if I had any concerns. She always answered and was always so reassuring. I can't express how thankful I am to have found her. My body is still changing, but boy what a change it has been. Thank you, Dr. Chen, for making me smile again and being confident in my appearance again.

Dr. Chen is great. I got a breast reduction and the results are amazing. My life is changed to the better because of her. She cares so much about her patients and making them as satisfied as possible with the results. She is a hard worker and someone who is very passionate about what she does so you can be sure that she will do her absolute best to get you the results you want, if not better. 100% recommend her.

Dr. Chen helped me remove a lipoma growth from my forehead that has been bothering me for a few years. She was very concise, answered all of my questions, and was always there to answer questions. The day before the operation, there was a scheduling issue at the hospital, so instead of just rescheduling our appointment, she worked with the hospital to have my surgery moved to Hoag Newport vs. Hoag Irvine, just so I don't have to shuffle my schedule around. She did a great job removing the growth, leaving a little scar in place of it. She followed up and was always there to answer text questions whenever I had one. I highly recommend Dr. Chen, and I say this with a high degree of confidence.

My life will forever be changed because of Dr. Chen, I would recommend her to everyone.

Worst and rude customer service!

I’ve worked in plastic surgery and with many surgeons for many years. I was very impressed with Dr. Chen! You spend the majority of your consultation time speaking with her versus a staff member, you have direct contact with her at all times, she gives out an emergency cell number for questions after a procedure, her demeanor with her patients and her work/Technique is great, minimal bruising and or minimal pain if any! She might not have some super fancy glamorous office in Newport but she is a great surgeon and the customer service from staff is prompt and amazing!

My significant other had surgery here and she didn’t not even bother to answer any questions or concerns. She’s is a patient of hers and that is her job. When she would ask questions she speaks over you. There was no bedside manner for the post op. She is very condescending. I do not recommended anyone to come here with the amount of money spent. Unless you're Asian you’ll be treated as VIP. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS DOCTOR. She is not professional at all.

Horrible place they forget about you once you pay .once we waited 1hr 40min they forgot about us and my sister pain medication wore off and they flipped on us the we were early. Not even a sorry . She was 3wks post surgery. Don't waste your money you will regret it. This problem was a every visit problem 🙄.
