Doesn’t listen well…crass PA too. Dr. H was always in a hurry. Didn’t listen well. Didn’t feel like she even paid attention to me. She charges a yearly charge to see her but not worth it. Her PA was rather crass which didn’t go over well. Just don’t have trust in either of them.

In the 10 plus years, Dr. Hwang was my moms Primary Care Physician, she was ok. She suggested what my 85 year old mom should do, nothing specific, absolutely no follow through. I don’t think Dr Hwang did enough to help with my moms high blood pressure, dementia, thrombosis or just lack of ability to care for herself. When everything fell apart, Dr Hwang could not be bothered to help. What makes me sad is that my brother and I thought that that Dr. Hwang cared about our mom, and she really did not.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hwang's for about 10 years and am very happy with her. She always spends a lot of time with me and answers all my questions. She takes good care of me.

Dr. Hwang really is among the best physicians I've known. She's thorough and conscientious. I've never had a rushed appointment or questions unanswered, and she's been easily available when needed. It's first class medical care.

Outstanding doctor. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Hwang for over 12 years. She is always thoroughly prepared for each visit, has excellent listening and communication skills, and her follow up is amazing. She gets back to you to answer your questions or concerns or to refill or change medications almost immediately, sooner than we would ever expect, including on weekends and vacations via NextMD. (Worried she might get burned out because she is so conscientious.) Lab results are sent to you immediately. Plans of care are meaningful reminders for you to follow, not just fill in the blanks to satisfy regulatory bodies. My husband and I are elderly, with long problem lists. She stays on top of it all, including all the preventive vaccines, etc. Amazing. Best Internist we've ever had in our years of living in different locations.

Dr. Kalena Hwang is the most professional Doctor and compassionate too. She takes time with you to discuss your medical issues and never rushes me. She is always on time. I have been going to her for nine years now. Would highly recommend her. Wonderful bedside manner which is so important to me.

I have been seeing Dr. Wang since 2008, this being said, imagine I was 30 minutes late for my appointment due to traffic an live 100 miles away, not only did I not get to see Dr Wang but I was scheduled with somebody I've never even seen before, they knowingly knew I was in route from 100 miles away, they knew I was running late they could've called my cell phone as they do for spots an money but for consideration, no dice, instead waited till I arrived to say "oh sorry" "we can't see you not till four this afternoon." There was not one person in the waiting room not one . Sounds like the time to find a new doctor. Guess when you have finally arrived, manners an consideration no longer matter!

When she feels she is getting too close to a field of knowledge in which she is not well versed, she tends to skirt the subject so as not to expose ignorance, giving an answer that is so vague or noncommittal as to be worthless. My health cannot afford this.

She has deep-seated anger issues. Understandable but does not help her professionally.
