Dr. Yap is truly one of a kind. I called at least eight different GI offices to schedule an appointment for an urgent problem my dad was having. All of them were booked out 2-3 months. Dr. Yap personally texted me to promptly set up an appointment and even pre-booked an endoscopy and colonoscopy. My dad was very pleased by his bedside manner and compassion. I texted Dr. Yap at 10:30 pm on a Thursday night to get biopsy results, and to my surprise, he texted me screenshots of chart notes and biopsy results right away. I have never known a doctor to act that promptly with patient messages. I have found my family's GI doctor for life. We will never see anyone else.

I sincerely question the ethics and integrity of this practice. After speaking with my elderly mother, she was “discharged”/released as a patient when attempting to cancel and reschedule an appt. Unavailable front office and overall extremely unprofessional. I would give this no stars if possible.

Do not go see this Dr. All they care about is Money. Most rude Dr who does not even care about patients health, only cares about his Ego and $$$$. I got a 2nd opinion from a different Dr and Yap went off on me saying you dont take my word go see another dr not caring about my health. If you have a different option definitely use it because no matter what you say to this dr he doesnt care he thinks whatever he says is always correct and wont even listen when you try to tell him about other problems.

I wish I could do zero stars or negative if possible. This doctor is horrible and when you question him or go for a second opinion his ego is so fragile that he personally calls you to terminate services. But wait, taking time out of his day from his patients is not enough... going for second opinion after visiting him agitates him enough to also write a letter personally and sign it. Beyond unprofessional and truly truly shameful this office is still in business.

Unfortunately I did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Kong Peng Yap! Short-tempered, unprofessional and doubtful about his own diagnosis. Strongly recommend finding healthcare elsewhere!!

Do not go here. Worst gastro in orange county. They care about money and not patient health.

He is great, but his office staff is hopeless and unprofessional
