List of Mark S Sugar's Reviews
My daughter (who has asthma) went to see Dr. Sugar because her previous provider retired. Dr. Sugar criticized us for getting our 16 year old a COVID shot and booster and said California is making a huge mistake because 16 year olds don't need COVID shots. This is a DOCTOR! Who treats KIDS with BREATHING problems. He should have his license stripped. So irresponsible. How can you trust anything he recommends after he made it so crystal clear that politics dictate how he delivers medical care. Gross.

Probably the worst doctor experience I have encountered. I was hoping for help, a plan, or some answers. I left disappointed, angry, and in tears with less information and help than when I came in. I felt completely dismissed. Whatever experience I had with Dr. Sugar, his medical assistants were very kind and super professional.
The doctors here hardly spend 5 minutes with the patient. They’re always on the run. I think they book like 10 to 15 appointments per hour. Doctor spent exactly 7 minutes after 90 minutes of waiting. Staff is really bad, when I went inside the room, bed was clearly dirty. Nurse asked my weight and it has been more than 6 months that I checked it, so I asked if I can check my weight and she’s like it’s alright you can just say some ballpark number. How long does it take to check the weight? If you can find another doctor who can listen to you and spend some time go to them.
Dr. Sugar was curt, rude, condescending and less than helpful AT BEST. After exchanging salutations he promptly went on a rant about the governor and masks. **HE IS AN IMMUNOLOGIST** As if we see him solely for his insight into how stupid we/I are/am (yes he said stupid, very medical term) for wearing a mask once vaccinated. SIR I AM HERE FOR MY IMMUNE SYSTEM ISSUES. I don't raw dog it in public EVER. He made multiple inappropriate comments. He would ask questions and then sneer at my answers, cut me off. I had allergy tests done and was told I had one allergy only...then for 3 days my arm swole up with big welts. Not just one. I have gone twice to Quest for blood tests abd they havent done anything to send the orders. I have tried. Quest has tried. I was hoping it was just Dr.Sugar who was an issue but the staff aren't much more helpful either. The bedside manner of the Dr left much to be desired. The communication issues with the staff leave much to be desired. Thanks so much guys....I really needed the tests for the oncologist...that I don't have....cause I can't get an order. :|
I went to see Dr Berger for allergies and asthma. I am appreciative at how quickly I was diagnosed and treated. I have never felt better.
0*s in my book! You can see by all of my Yelp reviews all have been extremely kind, I have not one kind thing to say about this man. He treated me as if I were stupid. He knew NOTHING about my genetic disease at which he should be a little aware. His bedside manner, well, he has NONE! Don't go see him!
This man is the worst man I have ever had to deal deal with I had just come out of the hospital I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me I was on pet prednisone because of my rheumatoid arthritis and he told me that my rheumatoid arthritis was causing me to go crazy he started yelling at me seriously in the office and he went like bananas so I stood outside he told me to get out of his office so I did and I was standing where all of his employees are waiting for him to give me my medicine so that I wouldn't break out in these hives that were sending me to the hospital and when he came back he said will you go back in my office please and I said no I won'tAllow you to yell and degrade me like you did before you block the door and you wouldn't let me out when I asked there's no way that I'm gonna go back in the office with you and he said please will you go back in the office with me and so I went in and grab my medicine he said he was sorry everybody has a bad day I get it but when I come in or anybody else comes in because they have a problem a doctor should not be yelling at the top of his lungs to his patients he really needs to retire and start trying to live a real life. PS Dr. sugar this is for you I found out what the problem was it wasn't the prednisone it was the freaking doctor
Went in for an allergy scratch test, and as terrible as the procedure always is, my nurse and doctor (Nurse Alma and Doctor Sugar) were attentive and personable, took time to make sure I was actually feeling well and not just pushing assembly-line medicine at me. I was in and out faster than expected. Building is a little dark but for being a 40ish year old Christian hospital it's to be expected. Don't mind having to go again.
Dr. Sugar assistant not respoding to refill request on timely manner. I am asthma patient And my farmacy fax them twice for refil and also I called and left voice mail no response I have completely ran out of my medicine and now I have to go to urgent care spend money on copay to get my prescription. Very bad customer service.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
