On appropriate occasions, I will comment about a remarkable employee or product from which I received assistance or found exceptional. I am writing today to tell you of the incredibly professional and outstanding service I received from your retina OC staff. The receptionist arranged for me to see Dr. Nadeem N. Vaidya, MD, Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Retina OC, on very short notice the same day. The technician was kind, helpful, and efficient, which was appreciated as I could see Dr. Vaidya soonest. This last occasion to see Dr. Vaidyawas regarding a sudden loss of eyesight in my left eye. I had previously been a patient of the doctor for a detached retina. Let me say on both occasions, I was, in short, terrified that I might lose my vision. On both occasions, Dr. Vaiday was incredibly calming and extraordinarily knowledgeable and spoke in a positive/confident manner to say, "we can fix this " and he did so on both occasions. I can't say enough about this excellent doctor; he is kind and will take as much time with you as you need.

First of all, this review is long overdue, and I agree 100% with all the other comments. Dr. Vaidya is outstanding! His calm demeanor, patience and expertise put me at ease when he explained the treatment I needed for my detached retina and retinal tears and holes. When the day arrived for treatment, I was quite nervous as I went in, but I soon relaxed just by being in his presence. His level of professionalism is beyond measure. Dr. Vaidya is exceptional, and I encourage you to visit his office for your eye care needs. His team is fantastic as well. Everyone is friendly and efficient.

I was referred to Dr. Vaidya after a visit from my optometrist. I have high myopia and my recent visit showed possible peripheral retinal changes. I was very happy with my visit and felt that the health of my eyes was in good care. Dr. Vaidya is very professional, patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to review my concerns and was thorough in asking about my health history and family history. My exam was detailed and Dr. Vaidya's explanations were very straightforward and informative. There was no push for extra procedures, but rather a good layout of one's conditions and treatment options. The entire process was pleasant and put my mind at ease. The office staffs are likewise very courteous and professional. All and all, I'm happy to have found a good ophthalmologist!

Just came back from my first visit with Dr. Vaidya. I previously had a retinal problem and my primary care physician referred me to him. Sarah and the doctor's assistant were so helpful with insurance concerns. He has the most up-to-date, high-tech equipment. I've never had such a thorough consultation. Dr. Vaidya took his time explaining every detail while showing me the computer-generated visual diagrams. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Vaidya to anyone who has/had retinal issues, as well as anyone who appreciates an exceptional opthalmologist.

Dr. Vaidya is an exceptional retinal ophthalmologist. He has the best and newest equipment and I've never had a more comprehensive consultation. Dr. Vaidya uses computer-generated visuals while explaining every detail of each eye. I've never encountered such an informative and easy to speak with doctor. Am grateful that I am now one of Dr. Vaidya's patients.

Dr Vaidya is smart, personable, and empathetic. He takes all the time you need at every appointment to answer any and all questions thoroughly, and never makes you feel rushed or like you're just another number on his schedule that day. He remembers you and your issues, which is pretty cool.He also tells it like it is regarding your condition and treatment options, without any embellishment to persuade you one way or another. He gives you the facts and leaves all decisions in your hands. You never feel like he's pushing you to make money.I had a retinoschesis in my right eye, and he kept it under observation for several years, never pressuring me to undergo a procedure for it because he said it wasn't truly medically necessary. When the retina finally started detaching, he said it was time, and was even happy to give me a referral to another retinal surgeon for a second opinion. I went to that guy, Dr Brent Norman in Newport Beach, and even though he was older and grayer than Dr Vaidya (more old school experience), his cold, mechanical attitude just didn't connect with me.I scheduled my reattachment procedure with Dr Vaidya, it went flawlessly, and my recovery went exactly as he said it would. I followed his post-op instructions to the letter (and even more strictly, keeping my head facing down for a week), and now 8 months later my vision in both eyes is virtually exactly where it was before my retina issue -- and with no cataract because I followed his aftercare instructions religiously.Today I went to see him, 6 months after my last post-op checkup, and he gave me a big thumbs up. He told me to schedule a follow-up appointment 1 year from now... or he said even 2 years if I get busy because things are looking perfect. Not money-hungry at all, love it!And his reception staff and ophthalmology / retinology assistants (don't know their title) are super friendly and nice, too.

Excellent & knowledgeable doctor who quickly examined me and made a diagnosis that eased my mind. A specialist who is available the same day is rare and I’m so appreciative.
