List of Samy Younis's Reviews
This doctor is SO freaking odd and perhaps senile. I came in for one thing and he decided to make multiple diagnoses that had nothing to do with the original thing AND did not even end up being accurate, & weren't based on any actual testing. I wanted blood work done. He wrote in my file to my insurance that I have "alcohol dependence" when we didn't even talk about alcohol intake, nor did they take my blood or test for anything like I asked. I got a second opinion on things and nothing he diagnosed me with was NOT accurate. What the hell? That's now in my permanent file to my insurance. I'm pissed.
Sadly after having been a client of Dr. Younis for 28 years, I just decided to move on to find another doctor. Got a sore throat very badly and could hardly drink and swallow anything. Wanted to see Dr. Younis or any licensed nurse for a prescription. But the office told me on the phone I had to take a covid test before I could be seen there. I asked if a quick antigen test would be ok, but was told no, it had to be a PCR test. Upon asked, she told me it's a policy for anyone who has a symptom to be seen there. Well, my son's pediatrician does not require that. I am sure many other doctors don't shame themselves by requiring that. It's not acceptable Dr. Younis, if you hear me. Covid is not a deadly disease any more, and I don't even think I got it. I am fully vaccinated. More importantly you are a doctor and you have made a rule that makes it harder for the patient to be seen when he needs you?
To be honest this medical care Dr. is non existent! Staff doesn't care, terrible no respect!
We had been patients of Dr Younis for almost 10 years. He can highly recommended by my wife's cardiologist, and was one of the few primary care physicians in our Medicare HMO in the city we live. Ten years ago, he was an excellent diagnostician. As time progressed, his diagnoses became sloppy. Additionally, he is being forced by the insurance providers to computerize his records, and he is trying to pass on the additional costs by requiring patients to have a "wellness physical" examination every ninety days to renew prescriptions. Most Medicare HMO plans will only pay for ONE "wellness physical" examination per year. Big question - are the patients supposed to pay for the additional "wellness physical" examinations? It's sad to see a doctor sign his own death certificate.

Too many PA's I was a patient of Dr. Younis for years. I will say that when I saw him, it was fine. But in 5 years time, I saw him twice. Every other time I was there, I was always seen by a different Physician's Assistant, and there were many. I finally got tired of being treated by his assistant and chose to see a different doctor. When I go to the doctor, occasionally I would like to see a doctor. Office staff was somewhat ok. My advice is to find another doctor.
the negative reviews don't lie. I saw this doctor a few times and already changing to a new one. I literally had major internal bleeding and he just tells me to change my diet what a joke. Ended up going to a different doctor and found out my issue was actually really serious. Staff is always lacking on any requests I ever asked of them. Not to mention the last time I was there I was waiting in the lobby and I noticed the staff had ordered themselves a bunch of pizzas and when the delivery guy comes in they just took the food and didn't tip the poor guy. The guy left clearly upset with them. You can tell he's been there many times from the look on his face when he came in. They probably never tip them. How embarrassing to have someone deliver your food to your job so you don't have to leave and you cant even give the guy a single dollar. Who raised you people? I know this is unrelated but really shows you the type of people they are. That was unbelievable and classless. I'm never coming here again.
Let me share my experience at this doctor office. I got into horribly accident with bike and car...was in ICU for 5 days...after I got home, the ICU doctor wanted to keep me under his care for a week and this doctor got into pissy ego and dropped my care completely afterwards. Then during COVID-19 period, I called and asked for an appointment but told the receptionist that I will call them back to confirm. She had me down on December 24th and billed me $40 for NO SHOW. After several calls and explained, they didn't want to hear me out and proceeded with the collection agency for $40. Stay away from them.
I echo all the other negative reviews, he was my doctor for a short time. He likes to ramble on about non essential things, quick to diagnose and when you pursue him to get a proper answer he says he is busy and cant answer questions. The best part is where he taps the stethoscope on your chest and back a few times without asking you to take a deep breath. Seems to just go through the motions, minimalist health care.
“Suck it up,” is what Dr. Younis told me after I met him for the first time in person after years of visiting his practice only to be seen by his nurse practitioner (who was great). Unfortunately, after her exit, Dr. Younis was left with no choice but to meet with his own patients. And we had a chat for the first time about the pain I have been dealing with for years. There was such a disdain in his voice as he spoke and his hand running down the small of my back was not in a caring way. I felt dismissed and violated at the same time. I realize I was lucky to be seen by the nurse practitioner all those years. She cared to listen and offered warmth and solutions while exercising professionalism. Dr. Samy Younis is anything but.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
