We join Hoag on 9/1/2022 after 15 years with Kaiser. Our Primary Care Physician was Dr Yu and both of us (my wife and I) are so impressed with Dr Yu. He is very professional, caring, always takes his time to listen to our concerns, explaining the situation thoroughly and never gives us the feelings of being rushed. Surprisingly, 3 days after I saw him the first time, I was able to schedule another same day appointment due to an urgent pain on my ankle. Something that I could not do during the past 15 years. What is the point of having a PCP when you can’t even see or talk to him or her and got sent to urgent care to see others doctors when you need your PCP. Dr Yu had solved our problem. He is also very responsive to your text message. Lastly the Hoag facility we went was absolutely nice and clean. We totally recommend Hoag Med Group, especially Dr Yu.

I am really impressed by visiting Dr. Yu's office yesterday. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very pleasant experience. He is also bilingual, speaks fluent Mandarin in addition to English. Facility by Jamboree is brand new and comfortable.

Dr. Yu is one of the best doctors I’ve ever have. He’s very attentive to your issues and listens. He never rushes through anything and takes his time to make sure he’s not overlooking anything. I recommend all my friends and family to him as I can’t imagine going anywhere else

Dr. Yu and the entire staff are beyond amazing. they do anything and everything to help you and get you the best care They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose Dr. Steven Yu and would highly recommend him to anyone Dr Steven Yu goes out of his way to make sure all your questions are answered and he truly care for his patients . Dr. Yu took all of my concerns seriously and helped me take proactive steps on each of them. As a result, we found my thyroid cancer despite normal TSH levels, and are now in process of getting it treated, in addition to following up on my other concerns. Dr. Yu is very thorough and makes an effort to be patient and show respect even when he is on a tight schedule. Glad I found him!
