West Dermatology's Online Review Report Card

I’m having a terrible experience with West Dermatology. Before my visit, I called to confirm my insurance coverage, sent all requested intake information, and was assured that my visit would either be fully covered or that I would only pay a max of 20% depending on the visit's scope and length. My appointment was brief—no more than 5-10 minutes—with the physician confirming I had nothing to worry about. When I checked out, the front desk confirmed that my out-of-pocket cost was $0. However, a few days later, I received a bill from my insurance company for 100% of the visit. For the last month now, I have been trying to reach this office—calling, emailing, leaving voicemails—and have gotten absolutely no response other than “I’ll have the manager reach out to you”, then they never do. This isn't just unprofessional; it's deceptive. If this isn’t resolved immediately, I will have no choice but to report West Dermatology to my insurance provider, the Better Business Bureau, and relevant medical authorities for potential fraud - I assume I’m not the only one they’re doing this to. Avoid this place at all costs if you want honest billing.

I waited over a month for an appointment and because the 2 people at the front desk decided they didn't want to contact the medical group for the correct code for my referral, they denied me the right to see the doctor today. The problem with this is, they. confirmed the referral when I made the appointment and they should have known all of this before making the appointment. Because of them, I know have to fight this eczema on my face for only God knows how long before he can see a doctor. I hate to see how they treat patients with cancer. These 2 women are awful and should not be dealing with patients.

Great integrity, very knowledgeable, skillful and elite; I’ll say that about sums it up. I’m going to be honest, I work for a financial company myself.. With that being said, I always study about trading . To see what it’s about or not. I can admit.. I was a bit skeptical on you all’s courses at first. Being straight forward. I waited for 6 weeks for an appointment with the San Clemente office today and got there at 3:05p for a 3p appointment (yes, my fault, I was late). I checked in over the weekend online. I stood in line waiting for the ONE other person in the waiting room to check-in. When I got to the counter at 3:08p, they declined my appointment for being late! REALLY! The first impression for my first appointment and with the PA Alisa Wang who made that decision. With but one person in the waiting room, it REALLY is frustrating.

doc was upbeat and personable,visit was on time and she told me some good tips on sun protection.

I have had other Dermatologist dismiss spots I found only to have them be cancer. Yuma Dermatology removed anything suspicious and do a very good skin exam. I would go anywhere else in Yuma for my skin care! Thank you Yuma Dermatology

The office staff has gone out of its way to address some insurance problems. They were able to change an appointment to accommodate a change in my schedule. And Dr. Shiell is efficient, attentive, and personable! I am really happy with this office.
