Yanagi Dental Irvine's Online Review Report Card

My immediate and extended family and I have been coming here for many many years, and that alone speaks volumes. Most of Dr. Yanagi’s patients are long-term as well, which says everything about the trust he builds. Honestly, once you come here, you don’t leave. His skill level far surpasses any other dentist within a 25-mile radius and I would know because I tried them all. Dr. Yanagi is super focused, serious, efficient, and never wastes your time, yet he always takes the time to thoroughly explain every procedure. He has even personally called to check on me after treatments to see how I’m feeling, which truly sets him apart. He makes every visit comfortable and consistently delivers outstanding results, which is why we all go to him and have never left! I wouldn’t trust my dental care to anyone else. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist they can rely on for life.

I've been going to Dr. Yanagi for about 25 years now. I trust him with my life. I had to go to another dentist for a few years when I moved out of state, but it was so bad that it was worth it for me to come back to Irvine just to see Dr. Yanagi. He is really knowledgeable and explains everything well and soothes my dental anxiety. Also if you are Japanese, it's very helpful since this office is catered towards Japanese speakers as well.

Same day crowns done in the office during my appointment. Wow. I come here and everything is done while I am here, instead of having to wait for weeks. That is a huge plus for me! Dr. Yanagi has very loyal patients who have been coming to him for many many years and it's easy to understand why. Same with me and my mom and my sister have all been coming also since 2015. Yanagi sensei is truly the BEST dentist, in my opinion. He is so talented. When I don't need work, he is honest with me. He never makes any of us do dental work that we don't need. Once I came with my husband and even though he took one X-ray, since I didn't have any cavity, he didn't even charge me for the X-rays or his consultation time. Very honest and kind man. The staff is great too. The office is kept clean. They are all friendly and make jokes and laugh with patients. It's a comfortable and fun environment for me. So nice!

Recommended $2.5k worth of dental work for cavities, etc. Went to another dentist who recommended $7 fluoride toothpaste and $5 rinse. After 3 months soft spots were gone and no cavities or work needed. If I had done the dental work, it would have actually damaged my teeth. Seems to doing billing fraud. I got a bill after going for dental cleaning and pictures, and these have been always free with my insurance for last 10 years. Clearly doesn't care about patients, only about money. Also, cleaning was extremely painful and I could see other patients appointments on the screen while sitting in the dental chair. All around the worst dentist I've been too. Only single positive is that front desk staff are nice.

A knowledgeable dentist. He is very ahead of his time and knows things that other dentists simply do not know. I went from China to Japan and my mouth was in very bad condition due to bad genes and dentistry. Once in the US, I came to Yanagi Dental Office and I trusted Dr. Yanagi to do all the work I needed. He was patient and explained everything very well. My jaw doesn't click anymore, my root canals were fixed (other dentists missed my 4th root), my migraines were gone for good within a week, my perio was corrected, and I also finally feel confident smiling. I am so glad I took his advice because other dentists were suggesting to pull my teeth (anyone could do that), but that was last resort for me. But he fixed my mouth without pulling any teeth. It's been many years and I could not be happier with the results. I am very thankful to Dr. Yanagi and his office staff. The only thing is, sometimes I have to wait more than 10 minutes, but that's not a big deal. It's also my fault for showing up early. Otherwise, everything is always smooth.
