Perfect fit!!  Best experience in optometry and I've been getting glasses since the mid '90s.  When you come in to pick them up, he makes sure the glasses fit your head, using pliers!  It only took 2 minutes.

I wanted to go back to contact lenses after eleven years of stupidly and stubbornly sticking with prescription glasses. This was my first experience with Dr. Nakajima and I found him and his staff to be courteous, professional, and thorough. The contacts are perfect for my needs and I am thrilled to have had the pleasure of this experience. Best. Optometrist. Ever.

Dr. Nakajima is very thorough and takes his job seriously. He really takes his time, listens to you, and I've always been pleased with every visit. His staff are also superb. Very competent and friendly!

If you want this office to lie about your insurance, lose your glasses, then claim they gave them to you, this is the perfect place for you. I paid for a pair of glasses only because the doctor suggested I buy them before I am no longer covered under my insurance because of my age. That was a lie. I was covered under my insurance for another 2 whole years. Then the rude gal at the office said they would hold my glasses until they were ready to be filled. They lost the glasses. After explaining that I paid for those frames and needed them to be filled, she claims I only paid $28 for them as if it wasn't a big deal, but couldn't help me with my frames or money. Do not trust this office. They will insult you and lose your stuff at the same time.

He is the nicest most patient eye dr you could ask for. Very good with kids, explains everything and answers all your questions. My husband and I plan to be seen by him as well. Takes his time to make sure all is right. Makes you feel welcome. All of his staff are kind and welcoming as well. We will always go to him for our eye care needs!! Highly recommend him for all of your eye care needs!

I am so disappointed in my experience with Dr. Nakajma's office. A few months ago I had an eye exam which was fine -I did have to wait over two months to get my glasses, but I understand that things happen, and that was fine.My negative review is based on the following experience;I woke up one morning with extreme eye pain, it felt like something was stuck under my eyelid, it was very uncomfortable and I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't have an appointment but I called ahead of time and let them know that I was coming in, what I was experiencing and hoping that the doctor could just take a look and give me some advice. When I arrived at the office at 8am, he refused to see me. I understand that I did not have an appointment, but I am looking for a Doctor who will take five minutes to see a patient to at least let them know if they need to go to urgent care or if it's not an emergency.  He would not even come out of his office to tell me himself. After they sent me away, I had to Drive 30 minutes and wait two hours at an urgent care. It ended up being a minor scratched cornea, I got a little anabiotic, and I was able to go back to work. The doctor lost me as a patient, which I imagine they are not concerned about based on my most recent experience.I will not be going back to this doctor, and I do not recommend him.

After 2 optometrists in my 20 years, I took a chance on  Dr. Nakajima as my new optometrist.  I'm glad I did because he is a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor.Dr. Nakajima examined my eye health and noticed something in my right eye.  Turns out I have a partial retinal tear and I'll be going through laser surgery to repair my eye from further future damage.Besides his connections and good referrals in the eye industry, I was able to purchase Ray Ban frames, my favorite.  And my wife was able to be seen as well and purchased nice frames.I will be taking my family to Dr. Nakajima from now on.  It's a plus he's got competent and kind hearted assistants.

Best experience hands down with Dr Grant. Thank you for all your help, and from now on this is now my go to, highly recommend your next visit is here.

I confess that I am part of a group of people who enters the new year with a refreshed sense of awareness towards a tailored list of ideals that we either aim to achieve (as part of the usual-soon-to-fail-within-months resolution) OR to embed into our much shorter list of traditions that we unfailingly complete in the right time. Having an eye exam would definitely fall into the latter.My lady has been here each year for more than a decade and recommended that I begin doing so since my move here last year. We both don't have a single complaint to his meticulous process of checking our eye health. In fact, we both love his professionalism, his dedication to doing things right, and especially his patience in answering our endless barrage of questions regarding each step of the way.Despite having exceptional vision, my second visit also found and proved an issue with my eyes that he observed during the standard procedure. He noted the possibility that I may have the equivalent of a "dead pixel" (aka tiny blind spot) and asked if I would be willing to take a second test to determine if that was true. Guess what...I do have a miniscule blind spot on each side of my eye. How does that matter? Well, after my litany of questions, I knew it was something that I have to watch out for and check every few years. (After all, I can never fully comprehend - and don't want to ever experience - how debilitating it would be to lose a good portion of my close-to-perfect vision).Dr. Nakajima is professional, patient, and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and are still deciding on an OD.15/01LR

I and my family have been going to Dr. Nakajima for ~13 years.  He was recommended by a number of locals, when I first moved to the Peninsula.  Good service.  Never had a complaint or criticism.  Prices on contacts with VSP very competitive.
