Bill for new patient visit (CPT code 99204) with my insurance was $411.09 (after insurance). My PPO insurance was billed for $500. I do have a high deductible plan, but absolutely nothing about this visit was worth that insane amount of money billed. I felt others should know what they might get charged for initial visit.
I seldom write reviews but I feel like this interaction warranted it and I hope my experience could perhaps save others from going through the same. Dr. Stern had one of the coldest, uninterested demeanors I have ever encountered with a healthcare professional. I felt like I was an inconvenience and felt uncomfortable the entire time. She wouldn’t make eye contact nor conversation with me (a first time patient) which was odd. Zero bedside manor. Lastly, making the entirety of a simple first time visit about my weight was unnecessary to say the least. The last thing a doctor should be is demeaning. If you’re looking for a good primary care physician, keep looking. Spare yourself and find a doctor who truly cares and treats you with dignity.
Dr. Stern is an incredibly caring physician. I am very complex and she agreed to take me on. I trust her implicitly. She also has a great sense of humor. She also takes the time I need due to my Lyme Disease, Degenerative Back & Joint Disease as well as heart, hormone and head problems, She does not hesitate to refer you and will fight for you if she believes you need a med., treatment, or specialist. I am a 64 year old woman, fighting for dignity and Quality Care, I’m blessed to be her pt.
Kind and thoughtful and very thorough, Dr. Stern is a gem

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
