Glad dr. Lenz is retiring in September. It will most likely save lots of struggles and lives He was the first I addressed my problems, and he suggested only one thing: patience. After a month of suffering the same symptoms he was the last doctor I contact to ask if I need farther tests. He said, no! Glad I listened to my own body, not dr. Lenz. Went to ER the same day. As a result of other butcher, Dr Cooper, who at first Dr Lenz characterized as a very “nice Doctor “ I spend 41 days at Scripps fighting for my life. Who saved me? Dr. Paul Hyde! Lenz could send me right away to at least ultrasound, instead he was telling me his life stories..

I’m currently in the hospital because of Dr. Lenz. I was perfectly fine before the procedure and when I woke up I was screaming crying in pain. I’ve had well over 40 colonoscopies since I was diagnosed with Crohn’s. In those years, I’ve never experienced anything like this after a colonoscopy. Beware and don’t let this Dr do one on you!!!!

I went from an almost normal person before my colonoscopy to screaming in pain when I woke and I was admitted into the hospital. Then Dr. Lenz comes into my room yelling at me, because I hurt his ego. He still refuses to tell me what the heck caused this and is covering his tracks.

I was checked in to Scripps Memorial hospital on Monday afternoon with a pain in my abdomen, next morning I met Dr. Lenz, turned out I had Acute liver failure. Dr. Lenz made sure I was admitted to Green hospital an hour later and likely saved my life.

Dr. Lenz was very professional and to the pint. His assistant Van Lodes is also just as professional and helped me getting my appointment in a timely manner. I no longer see Dr. Lenz due to relocation, however my issues were unfortunately un resolved when I was his patient.

I have had two colonoscopies over the last 10 years by Dr. Lenz. He was very concerned about prescribing the best preparation solutions for me, one that did not taste so bad or have such a huge quantity to drink. He was also sensitive to the pain I might feel during the procedure and made sure it went very smoothly for me. Honestly no pain! I also sensed that he was detailed oriented and really thought through my symptoms before arriving at a conclusion and suggesting procedures.He strikes me as an old world type gentleman who is patient, polite, and a good listener. I will continue to seek treatment from this doctor and can easily recommend him. When I saw two other specialty doctors at Scripps for different reasons, they both commented highly about Dr. Lenz as did their nurses. I think he is well regarded by his peers. The office and endoscopy clinic are well run, clean, and the staff is efficient. If you need a gastroenterologist this is your guy.
