Elizabeth Kaback's Online Review Report Card

Very bright, knowledgable and sometimes caring and concerned but other times rude, condescending and chronically late.The last time I saw her, I waited an hour, could hear her in the halfway laughing and joking. I finally left; she called me later to say she’d had an emergency and that’s why she was late. She shared way too much personal info i.e. how her brother died, her dating life etc. Its a shame...I think she has a lot to offer but needs huge improvement with her interpersonal skills. Never went back.

My husband and I were looking for a second opinion regarding his upcoming heart surgery. We found Dr. Elizabeth Kaback on the internet. We set an appointment to see her but, after reading her ratings, we were hesitant to go. We then decided to just go and see what will happen. We were so glad we went to our appointment. It was a wise decision. Dr. Elizabeth Kaback is not only very knowledgeable in her field, she is also very courteous and very patient. She thoroughly explained my husband's heart problem and all the tests and procedures involved. She provided us all the time we needed to get our questions and concerns answered. She even took time to make a follow up call after our appointment which showed a genuine concern to her patients. We will definitely recommend her to our family and friends.

I saw her at Shiley/Scripps on Torrey Pines and was put off by her condescending attitude and inability to keep her appointments. She was NEVER on time and I found it rude in its' consistency. She was thorough in explaining the lab results and she was very fluent on the lipid tests and the latest trends in that area.

Have been a patient of Dr Kabak's for 5 years and she is the BEST doctor I have ever had. I had a stent put in and we worked together to get my numbers in line and to eat better and do it together. Yes she tells you like it is, but I don't want to have someone beat around the bush with my health. She takes the time to explain my tests and we work together as partners to keep my numbers in line. She knows her field and have recommended her to several people and they are patients and also enjoy her.

I have been a patient of Dr Kabak and she is just great. She gives you the straight scoop and listens but wants you to make the changes that need to be made. Have recommended her to several friends and will continue.

Dr. Kaback has been working with me for about 5 yrs for a cardio condition identified after a stroke. She is very straight forward as are many people form the east coast and I appreciate that. She has been very proactive in treating my heart condition as well as continued work in finding the needle in the haystack that caused the stroke. I credit her for being a big part of my being alive today

I don’t understand why this doctor is still treating patients, as she comes across to hate handing to do so. She is chronically late, arrogant, condescending, doesn’t communicate well in between visits, intimidating, shows no compassion or care, and doesn’t make a patient feel confident in her assessments since she doesn’t allow for questions. She should work with machines and not humans. Horrible experiences with her, wasting time and money.

Dr Kaback is chronically late, condescending, rude, arrogant, lacks empathy or compassion, doesn’t allow for open communication nor makes herself available for Test result conversations, and leaves the patient feeling a complete lack or confidence in her assessment.

I wish I would have read the review here before visiting Dr. Kaback. She lacks empathy; is chronically late; she is condescending; she doesn’t welcome any questions about your health, although she may ask is you do have a question, but the will abruptly cut you off mid-question; she lacks professionalism and isn’t even thorough, as she lacked a memory of why I even came to see her in the first place. I have the ultimate respect for doctors, but her arrogance and lack of kindness are horrible.
