List of Enass Rickards's Reviews
I had a great experience with Dr Rickards. Since the beginning she was sweet, attentive, knowledgeable & straight to the point. I had no trouble scheduling an appointment in the office & my wait time to be seen was maybe 20 minutes after turning in my new patient paperwork. Even if I would’ve waited longer it’s ok because it was worth it & I understand there will be some wait time when seeing a specialist. The office staff was also quick & helpful when scheduling me for my procedure. The day of, Dr Rickards was on time & as soon she got there came in to say hi. The anesthesiologist was super cool, the nurses & medical assistant were caring & sweet. Everyone simply made me feel comfortable & in good hands. When I got home I noticed that with my discharge papers was a little card signed by the RNs & CNA wishing me a happy healing. I thought it was such a beautiful detail from their end.
I was referred to Dr. Rickards for a scaphoid fracture non-union. I made an appointment with their office and had to wait roughly a month and a half to be seen. On the day of my appointment, her office staff were probably told to overbook because I waited 2 hours past my appointment time. When I was seen she had her staff take X-rays. Then she recommended I find a doctor who can do a "vascularized bone graft," and she couldn't treat me... she then explained the procedure I need and she left. No talk about pain management, and 0 effort in helping me find the right surgeon. I went back to my referring doctor, and he was confused as to why she would recommend I get a "vascularized bone graft" when its not necessary. She has no bedside manner and rushes her patients. Update : Its been over a year, and I am glad I did not Let Dr.Rickards perform surgery on me. I recived a much simpler internal fixation with a screw. My new doctor laughed when I told Him the surgery Dr.Rickards reccomended to me. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who actually cares about your health. Shame on Dr.Rickards.
Dr. Rickards is an amazing surgeon who literally saved my hand after a devastating accident. Without her work, I probably would not be able to work in my profession. She, and her assistant, Lourdes, will go above and beyond for you with assisting in writing letters to your work, the state of CA, or anyone else after you have your surgery. And often times they will have that letter written and signed within a day! They make a stressful situtation as stree-free as possible, and because of that, I am eternally grateful for their work.
This office is run so terribly that even the nurses and staff people complain. I was a patient of Dr. Rickards. Every time I went in for my appointment, I waited for over an hour past my scheduled appointment time to get in. It was only when I said that I had to leave and to get my copayment back was I brought back to see Dr. Rickards. The last time I was there, I started lecturing the whole administration staff that this was unacceptable that they quickly got me back to the treatment room where I waited for another 25 minutes for Dr. Rickards to show up. I politely told her that her time was no more valuable than mine. She started to tell me that on certain Tuesday's, sometimes, there were a lot of patients and that I should schedule it a different day. (Cue the gaslighting!) I responded that scheduling was not my job and that it was her job and the offices' to do the scheduling and that her excuse was preposterous. As I left the office, the nurse came up to me and said that the office was always run like this and that they were always behind schedule with patients waiting for hours. She was very apologetic but said that it wouldn't change and that not only was the office run that way, but Dr. Rickards chose to run her practice that way, too. I made it very clear to everyone in the office that I thought that it was extremely disrespectful to me and others to make patients wait for hours past the appointment time. Due to this, they sent me a nasty letter letting me know that Dr. Rickards would withdraw treatment. I think that this is utterly ridiculous and I went to a much better run (and very busy!) orthopedic surgeon elsewhere who was just as good, if not better than, Dr. Rickards.
I can not say anything about Dr Rickards, as unfortunately I could not even schedule an appointment. her office staff can not find my referral which was sent 6 times. So now I can not be seen for over a week after being referred, I have a broken bone in a splint that no longer fits because the swelling went down. After reading multiple poor reviews regarding the office staff and continued disappointment of effort to retrieve the referral, I have requested to see another specialist. I have worked in health care in the ximed building down the street, this is not the kind of healthcare I expected for this area. This is extremely disorganized and why is a fax required to be referred when everything is now digital. Poor standard of care.

Dr. Rickards is a great surgeon and is very caring and considerate with her patients.
She is thorough and very good..
Dr Rickards is a very professional yet busy Dr. She was caring and kind and I would highly recommend her. Very professional. She corrected my arthritic hand and I now can use it with very little pain unlike before.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
