I saw Dr. Yuh at this office for a kidney stone. He is a caring, knowledgeable doctor who goes the extra mile for his patients. He was also my surgeon for an outpatient procedure and explained everything in a clear, easy to understand way. I also appreciated the kind and competent front office staff. My experience here was excellent and I highly recommend this doctor.

The people here really know their shit.Dr. Yuh in particular is great, happy to answer all questions, isn't going to give you nightmares with doom and gloom assumptions but also won't sugarcoat things either.They figured out what I had, got ms my medicine, and I was fine in just a few weeks. Not even that highly priced, either.

I was referred to Dr. Naitoh by a Doctor friend of mine. I called the Encinitas location to get an appointment and the admin staff was less than friendly. I thought I would have better luck in getting an appointment with Dr. Naitoh in the La Jolla office. I called several times to get an appointment and cannot get a return call. If this is the case when I trying to get an appointment, how would they even take care of my needs after I become a patient. Really poor etiquette. I hope that I am the only one they treat this way and not a general practice of the Genesis Urology.

Hung Nguyen, MD, was fantastic. I am in recovery and thanks to his skill and steady hand I am now referring myself as a distant cousin of the rock star Ace Freely, I P Freely! Success! Dr. Nguyen was informative and was up front with my options. He guided me through the process keeping me confident and open minded. His sense of humor was great too. I would definitely recommend him to anyone my age with prostate issues. Thanks Hung!!!!

Stephen Cohen MD was the luck of the draw. I went to emergency feeling very sick. They determined that I had a UTI problem and had developed a very dangerous sepsis infection. I did not have a urologist at the time. Dr. Cohen was called to the ER. He ran tests & CT scans and diagnosed a large kidney stone had prevented my UTI from draining properly. He performed emergency surgery at 2:00 AM to place a stent in my UTI system to restore function. I was treated for the infection and released. 2 weeks later he performed another High Tech procedure using ultrasound to break up a kidney stone too large to pass. That was successful and he has followed up with regular treatments for my UTI issues. He is a high-tech DR, very skilled and caring. I was lucky they called the right guy! His La Jolla office personnel are very efficient and kind. He is my Guy!

I went to the Encinitas location. If you are going to visit Dr. Juma, make sure you schedule ample time as there is typically a long wait. That being said, Dr. Juma is a very personable doctor. He was able to describe what was going on with my body in an easily digestible way, and really cares about the patients understanding of how to take care of their bodies. Though I am not a fan of waiting so long for a doctor's appointment, Shane, the girl who will talk to you when you check in to your appointment, is incredible. She is so warm and friendly, and while I was waiting gave me continuous updates on how much longer it would be. Shane is an example of a healthcare worker who deserves a doctor's salary. If it weren't for her, patients would be much more frustrated with the long wait times. She even remembers patient names and greets them from the second they walk in. Thank you Dr. Juma and Shane!

Vanessa Blasic & Clara Dougherty are amazing PA’s!

As a 15-year patient here, I can genuinely say that Clara Doherty provides wonderful care. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and gentle. Clara is the best asset at Genesis. Dr. Butler is a great doctor and has been steadfast in his care.
