This was a TRULY AWESOME experience! From the front office staff to everyone who was in the chain of service, I was SO impressed! The easy and approachable demeanor from everyone was top notch. From Priscilla, Joey the Rad Tech, and Loren from the Phillipines - what a great team. Dr. Downing was knowledgeable, thorough, efficient and so personable. A stellar performance by all!

I was faced with the real possibility of losing the end of a thumb after a dog attack. I was told in the waiting room that most injuries like mine result in amputation. From the moment I met him in the ER, my fears of being permanently maimed were melted away. His confidence and desire to make my hand whole again gave me the reassurance I was in the right hands. He fully discussed the approach he was going to take and why. He came to me in the O.R. before I was put under to once again explain what he was going to do and said he would also clean and stitch up numerous small wounds on both my hands. I now have complete use of my thumb again with full feeling and no pain. His office staff are all very friendly and hospitable. While he has a very busy office, during my follow up appointments, I always felt he was focused on me and my needs when we were face-to-face and did not rush through my appointment. This tends to cause a bit of a wait beyond the scheduled appointment time, but knowing he wasn't rushing any of his patients and would afford me the same respect makes the wait completely worth it. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Downing. He did an amazing job not only saving my nearly completely severed and broken thumb, once completely healed, no one will even know of the injury. While I hope never to need to see him again, if I ever required orthopedic surgery, he would be my first call. I would direct any friend in need of his expertise without hesitation.

Not only has he taken great care of my shoulder injury, I appreciate Dr. Downing taking time to go over the diagnosis and treatment options clearly and in great detail.
