From initial consult to surgery to follow up care, Dr. Worsey has been 100% what you want in a surgeon. This good man has been straightforward, reassuring, compassionate, highly skilled, responsive…quite impeccable in the delivery of his care. My surgery has greatly improved the quality of my life and his surgical skill and judgement proved to be EXACTLY correct. Also, thank you to Dr. Beiermeister who performed my surgery with Dr. Worsey…very unique and impressive that surgeries are performed with two surgeons at San Diego Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Last but not least, Susan and Morgan and everyone in the practice have been equally impressive in their duties. Absolutely, Dr. Worsey’s practice is my most high recommendation.

After begging for surgical treatment of recurrent/chronic diverticulitis at UCSD and being hospitalized with a perforation after 8 episodes, UCSD could not schedule this due to lack of surgeons. This was fortuitous as I called Dr. Worsey’s office at Scripps. They welcomed me in with all of my records a few days later. The next week after excellent care in Scripps Memorial Hospital, I was home recuperating on the road to living. He is no-nonsense, will joke with you if you joke with him first and extremely talented. Thank you and your team Dr. Worsey.

I feel profoundly fortunate to have had Dr. Worsey at Scripps, La Jolla, perform my ostomy surgery. His expert skill and specialty in this area made a huge difference in the surgical outcome and the quality of my life after surgery. Thank you, again, Dr. Worsey...I'm forever grateful.

Dr. Worsey performed emergency surgery due to volvulus (twisting of the colon), and removed 3 ft of my colon. I had suffered from constipation for many years, and ended up in the ER at Scripps Memorial, where a CT scan revealed my problem. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Worsey was very good in explaining me the details of the surgery that he would perform, and his positive attitude put me at ease. My post-surgery recovery was excellent, and Dr. Worsey provided great service even during the post-surgery period, visiting me at least once a day while in the hospital. The surgery performed by Dr. Worsey completely solved my problem, my constipation issues are gone, I haven’t felt this good in years! I highly recommend Dr. Worsey as an outstanding surgeon who takes great care of his patients, and Scripps Memorial as a first-class hospital, with excellent staff that takes great care of you.
