Dr. Sherman is the absolute best surgeon around! I had to have surgery to remove a portion of my colon and he was amazing. He was very thorough and thoughtful in explaining everything to me prior to the procedure. He recommended things I could do before hand to help with recovery as well. The surgery went well and my recovery went better than I expected. I am forever grateful for Dr. Sherman. He is a true professional that cares about his patients. I highly recommend him and his staff!

I had had some pretty long and painful recoveries from a couple of hernia surgeries in the past so I was steeling myself to go through it all over again when I went in for my consultation with Dr. Sherman. Right from the start, thanks to his understanding, his openness to answer any question I had, and his expertise, he put me at ease. I felt confident and assured this third time out would be completely different. Then the most amazing part was that it really was. The outcome was even better than I'd hoped. Incidentally, the office staff and the surgical center personnel were also incredibly kind and considerate. I couldn't recommend Dr. Sherman more highly

I had a thyroidectomy in 2009. Dr. Sherman listened to me when we met for the first time. He made sure my scar look like a natural line on my neck. After more than 10 years, I am well and my scar does not stand out. So not many notice my scar. If someone notice it, they tell me I had a good surgeon. So thank you so much for everything you have done.

This is the best surgeon I think I shall ever meet. He did my mastectomy and hernia repair. He treated me with compassion, I was (am) much more than a patient. His credentials are superior, but you would never know how smart and educated he is by his mild-manner but efficient and highly skilled bedside manner. At the end of my days, I will always be grateful for a man like this for making me whole and making me feel whole.

I was having gall bladder attacks due to gall stones for several years. I had a previous surgery for a hernia with a different surgeon that did not go well, so I was very reluctant to have gall bladder surgery., however from my first appointment with Dr. Sherman my fears were addressed and I went forward with surgery. The surgery and recovery went way more smoothly then i had expected. Dr. Sherman and his team were excellent!

Dr. Marc Sherman is an outstanding doctor not only did he see me under urgent circumstances but I was scared to death to have surgery. I was terrified to have scars. I can tell I won't have any noticble. Dr. Mark really does pride himself on his work and he has The DaVinci surgical robotic (The Bugatti of medical devices). Dr.Mark communicates very thoroughly. I understood everything that would go on during surgery and I even got to see the medical products that would be used. Marks follow-ups were above standard Dr Mark and his team are outstanding and I highly recommend anyone to use him because he's just a quality MD that standouts as a surgeon and more so someone who cares.

I live in Oregon, but had previously had an excellent experience at Scripps. So I researched for the best surgeon specializing in Hernia surgery that was aligned with Scripps Hospital. Dr. Sherman's repeatedly surfaced to the top.I had a consultative call with him and discussed my challenge with how long I could stay in San Diego asking if he could fit me in and facilitate all the appointments in as short of possible time period. He worked with me to accommodate this logistics challenge. My wife and I met with Dr. Sherman once we arrived and immediately went over surgery options and his recommendations for laparoscopic outpatient surgery which would leave me with only three tiny incisions, mesh on the inside rather then exterior. I left his office with a surgery date and immediately started on necessary tests, insurance items in order. The day of surgery was well communicated and orchestrated with multiple reminders and instructions. The staff at the surgery center worked as a well oiled team, while being friendly and professional. After three hours, I was able to get picked up. Before leaving the parking lot Dr. Sherman called to give me an overview of how things went. Recovery was swift with no complications. Overall Dr. Sherman was a wonderful partner through this needed surgery. He said I should never need to see him again, and that made us all happy. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Sherman.
