Dr. Charlat is the best cardiologist I have had. He truly cares about his patients and I don't feel like a number in the system to him which is so important. He will take as much time with you as you need, answer any and all questions, and he even remembers details about you outside of your medical record too. He was recommended to me by my Godfather, Rene who also loves him! Thank you, Dr. Charlat for being so wonderful. Being a medical sales rep now and understanding the medical industry much much more it just makes me appreciate you that much more. Thank you for everything that you do for your patients..it does not go unnoticed.

After 2 visits to a doctor who communicated poorly and was a real grouch, my primary physician recommended Martin Charlat. What a difference! Dr. Charlat was personable, compassionate, and professional. He immediately ordered tests and went over what I could/could not do. I felt I was in really good hands.

Dr. Charlat saved me from Bi-pass surgery! I had a 100% blockage in my Left Arterial Descending and he, with his team, successfully inserted "kissing stents". (from opposite directions) I'm coming up on 10 years with no issues. I am forever grateful.

I have been in Dr. Charlat's care since 1999 and I don't think there is a better doctor on the face of the earth. My appointments with him are always thorough, he explains everything and answers all my questions. He never acts rushed and always spends quality time with me. I know with him I am getting the best possible care. He is gentle, kind and personable. He updates himself on the latest developments in his field and passes that information on to me. He works very well with his staff and demands perfection. I was so lucky to have chosen Dr. Charlat and entrusted my life to him. He is the best.

Excellent caring concerned doctor who is compassionate and excellent at communicating.I first saw Dr. Charlat 25 years ago. I should reverse that. He was not my doctor as I was a Kaiser patient. Our daughters went to school together.He took time away from his busy practice to come check on me. So did Dr. Maurice Buchninder. Also had kids at same school. I was 39 years old and had open heart. Fast forward 25 years and I''m with Kaiser anymore. I'm grateful to have Dr. Charlat as my doctor. My wife also is now a patient. BTW, Dr. Buchbinder is in the same practice. Old school compassionate doctors, PS My daughter is now also a doctor

Dr. Charlat has wonderful bedside manners. He is a good listener, I feel very confident with his recommended course of treatment for me. He is such a sweet man and am very pleased with him as my Cardiologist.. Both my husband and I see him in his new location , La Jolla, Ca. No longer at the Encinitas office.
