One person that is cold and doesn't care much! One visit was enough for me to stay away.

He does not listen. He continuously cuts me off when I try to talk to him. He also prescribed medication that could have caused serious problems if the pharmacy had not caught his oversight.

Dr. Simon is an excellent doctor. He is very professional and always takes time to listen to your concerns

I recently relocated to San Diego and had to find a new urologist. A friend recommended Dr. Scott Simon. Getting an appointment was straightforward and visiting his office was easy to do. COVID protocols were easy to understand and follow and everyone in the office followed the posted rules. The doctor was good about listening and ensuring he understood the details regarding my situation. After implementing his proposed treatments, symptoms improved, but returned shortly after. I reconnected with the doctor over zoom (this was in the heat of the COVID surge last December) and he was great. He took the time to now discuss next options and potential outcomes in detail. I really felt like i was in a working session where he was dedicated to solving the problem. Implementation of theses next measures led to a deep improvement and this one has been sustainable. He has gotten me to a place I haven't been in 10 years. I highly recommend.

First, I'm shocked by only a 3 star review when logging on. Dr. Simon has been my urologist for the past 5 years. I'm 59 yrs old with ongoing urinary issues which preliminary was due to unknown factors. Normal psa below 2.5. dre normal. no history of underlying disease. After a period of time, Dr. Simon was not convinced there was not an underlying issue. extremely impressed how he stayed with it and though out of the box and advised a liquid biopsy. I believe that process potentially saved my life. Test revealed a local low grade gleason score 6 prostate cancer. He advised to go under active surveilance to see if the cancer would change. one year later, follow up biopsy identified progression to gleason 7 3+4. his advice was to immediately treat with no hesitation. Because of that, i was referred to an outstanding oncologist surgeon Dr. Salem. My prostate was removed with no complications and for all purposes, my cancer is cured. I can't say enough about Dr. Simon and his will to go the extra mile. Highly recommended to anyone!

Dr. Simon performed a routine outpatient vasectomy for me. Within a month, a very debilitating hydrocele formed in the surgical area. When Dr. Simon examined the hydrocele, his feedback that "these things can happen" and that "lots of men live with hydroceles". He recommended that I wait six months to see if it would resolve itself. Two months after the vasectomy, the hydrocele seemed to be growing rapidly, and I called Dr. Simon's office in a panic to schedule a follow up. The receptionist took down my info, but no one from Dr. Simon's office returned my call or followed up or to check on my recovery. I ultimately had the hydrocele corrected by another, excellent, local urologist. This surgery was very traumatic and debilitating, resulting in 6 months of recovery and significant pain (which is typical for hydrocele removal). Nearly a year after my vasectomy, there has still been no follow up from Dr. Simon. This experience shows that he at best does not really care about his patients.
