List of Payam Mehranpour's Reviews
I went once when Kayla the receptionist wasnt there and Dr. Mehranpour was great. I was running ten minutes late then accidentally took a wrong turn which ended up making me 20 mins late(my fault). I tried to call the office to see if they still wanted me to come in even if I was that late and the drive wasn’t short for me. their phones don’t turn on until 9:00 am so I couldn’t reach them? I didn’t want to get charged for a no show so I went in and they told me that they might not be able to see me. I kindly told Kayla that their phones should be on if they’re open since I was trying to contact them to tell them what was happening. that statement made her unexplainably upset and then she told me my appointment was “canceled”. then she told me she doesn’t deal with rudeness. I wasn’t being rude I was just explaining that phone should be on. Kayla said I was “trying to tell her how to run her office” like she is the doctor or something. Her reaction was disproportionate to the situation
Dr. Mehranpour and his assistant Kayla are extremely the best. We've had nothing but a great experience. My mom had a CABG done back in 2019 and we've been seeing Dr. Mehranpour ever since. My mom hates going to the Dr but seriously loves coming to see her cardiologist! Dr. Mehranpour is always straight forward and makes our visit quick and easy. Any questions or concerns my mother has he listens and always finds a solution. Kayla is ALWAYS helpful and kind. She goes out of her way each time and always make sure we're taken care of!
Careless maybe the best discerption. My wife is pregnant and she was experiencing some heart problems. We went for an office visit. We saw the doctor for 2 min 37 seconds. And he was on the pager for good 2 minutes. Basically we saw him for 35 seconds, he said to the nurse make my wife an ultrasound and stress test and this is been three months we never heard back from them, never recommended this place they don’t care about their patients.
I have had two coronary angiography with him , no complications. He spends enough time with the patients and explain the situation well. His office staff are courteous and responsive to patients. I have been his paient for over 13 years. As a physician I always review the education and credentials of my doctors before making an appointment.

Dr. Mehranpour is amazing, he's been my dad's cardiologist for years now and has done 3 angioplasties for him. Also his staff, Kayla and Lillian, are fantastic. Kayla is the most knowledgeable and helpful assistant I've dealt with.
Dr Mehranpour is a good doctor per say but his staff and how they do things leave little to desire. We have been patients of his for a few years and when they moved to the bigger office and Kayla left..it seems all went to dust.We have called in asking questions about things we would like to take...naturally to help with certain things and no calls back, we have called to our pharmacy prescriptions and have had to get emergency supplies until the doctors office filled them and then we would get told "well we did not get anything from the pharmacy" and yet we have print out proof that the pharmacy DID fax them for refill approvals. We even started calling in refills a week and a half in advance to try and get the medication approved before it runs out and even that does not work.We have called to ask other questions and gotten nothing in return. Kayla even told me she would email me a link to their new "patient portal" and yet I never got any email and then come to find out she left. So dont get me wrong we like Dr Mehranpour. We just wish the office was run better and that questions left in messages or with the office staff would get answered in a timely manager and prescriptions would get approval without US having to call back and forth for days trying to find out whats going on and stressing about when and IF the approval was going through.
What can you say about the man who saved your life! I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Mehranpour, he is knowledgeable, informed, professional, top of his field, and caring. Thank you!
My husband was admitted to Grossmont Hospital in 2015 for water accumulation in his legs and groin. His cardiologist at that time could not help him. Dr, Mahranpour was the doctor on duty. He was able to get all of the excess water out of him. We had been with his cardiologist sine 2001...we changed to Dr. Mahranpour shortly after his hospital stay. He is seen every 6 months and he is doing great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
