List of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group's Reviews
The ER is horrible. Waited hours for a CT scan then hours for antibiotics then I hear that one of the nurses was on Match.com on her phone while working way to go being focus Physicians are no where to be found. I had to come to this dam ER twice because the first time they didn’t think my infection was that bad and now my whole dame face is infected and swollen. This place drags their feet more than 16 year old burger flipper at McDonalds. My wife had come here in the there sense of compassion was well no compassion. This place is probably where the near drop outs come to work because you can just tell how much they hate their job here. If you can go to another ER please do so.
Update 111121 9pm email has been sent. Let’s see if a response is actually going to happen.I wish I could give this place zero stars to leave a review. I have never felt so mistreated and insulted in my life. I saw Dr Gina Weaver and she dismissed me without even listening to all of my symptoms. She did not try to do any blood work or anything. Didn’t ask me about any medical history. I expressed being nervous it was a reaction to a new seizure med I was on and she acted as if I was crazy for thinking so. It wasn’t until my nurse came in to discharge me and saw me crying because I was so frustrated and asked me if I was okay that Dr Weaver decided to do some blood work. I overheard her talking to another member of the staff saying “I’m just so checked out from this place.” If that’s the case she shouldn’t be a doctor. Then came in with the results and said everything is fine and to see my PCP in a very rude manner and walked out before I could even say anything or ask anything. I appreciate my nurse noticing my aggravation and trying to fight for me for better care from the doctor.
A Great Hospital.
The worst ER in San Diego CountyTook my husband there when he was having his second stroke. His speech was slurred he couldnt walk and had lost vision in one eye. The doctor said he was not having a stroke and sent us home with a cane I had to turn around and take back up to sharp Memorial ER at the advise of a paramedic not to go back to Grossmont. The ER doctor there said yes he was having a stroke. By then it was to late to give him the proper stroke protocol. My husband is more disabled than he needed to be because of the inept care of the Grossmont hospital staff. Wish I could give 0 stars they are the worst.
I had to have a presurgery COVID test to prove im well enough for surgery. My surgeon’s office helped me schedule an appointment. The “appointment” turned out to be in the Urgent Care. And my appointment was meaningless I was told straight up that all dozens plural of walkins came before me. The wait time was over an hour. It was wall to wall people sittings and standing wherever the could. No well person waiting area. Not allowed to wait in car and be called. Not allowed to wait in hall and be called. So much for making sure I stayed healthy before surgery. Ridiculous system.
The hospital left me to die sitting in the waiting room while my throat was hemmoraging from a tonsillectomy which had complications. The hospital had my previous review removed by lying to Yelp. Google it they had a staff member stealing drugs and were secretly recording patients naked in a bizarre attempt to catch their drug addict staff. The files were not protected not that there is a proper way to handle this. I still dont know if I was affected. They have money to have Yelp reviews taken down but not to protect the patients Oh also on one hospital stay they told me they were out of pillows and I had to try to sleep all night with my head directly on the weird hospital mattress. Next time fly to Calcutta
This place saves my Mom life 🙏
I am having my 8th surgical procedure since March this coming Thursday November 4 and I need a COVID test. I was given an appointment by my surgeon’s office to come to Sharp Grossmont at 1000 on Halloween Day. I get here and am told even though I have an appointment I have to wait behind all the walkins the majority of whom are sick. So having an appointment was pointless. But it gets worse. There is no well person waiting area. There is no 6 ft social distancing just wall to wall people crammed into a waiting area sitting elbow to elbow. So I am immunocompromised and I am expected to sit in a cesspool of germs while waiting to test to prove I am not sick. I explain I am immunocompromised. I ask if I can go wait in my car and they can call me when it’s my time. No. I look around and there is no space to sit where I am not on top of someone else. I state I will wait in the hall. They won’t call me and if I am called and don’t answer they will cross my name off she warns me. This is the most ludicrous system I have encountered and I have had more than a dozen COVID tests at this point. In the past I drove up was tested and drove away. I never left the car. How in the world can this be the best system a supposedly worldrenowned hospital can come up with? Definitely not feeling their “Sharp Experience” sharpgrossmont healthisNOTapriorityatsharp sharpexperience
My mother is currently in your critical care unit. I went to visit her yesterday and did not have an issue. I was told by the person who assisted me that he placed all my info into the computer and I would not need to show it again. I went back today and encountered the most awful horrible rude person I was asked for my vaccine card she was harsh for the start. I was told by her that my card was not good. She would not allow me into to see my 80 year old mother in critical care. I had some stuff she really wanted. She refused to have someone bring up the stuff I brought her. She said she didnt care. It was quite obvious. I am fully vaccinated by UCSD. I had my 1st vaccine on March 20th and my 2nd on April 20th. I have a booster scheduled for 118z It was done by UCSD. I have a mother in critical care and she could die alone because this woman is a hard ass. As I went to leave I said they allowed me in yesterday. She then harshly yelled at me a family member who has a loved one in critical care. She yelled I dont care. Im here today. I am going to look them up and make sure they get in trouble. They did the wrong thing. She yelled at a patients family member who was standing in front of her crying. She then rudely asked asked me to leave. My mother is now very upset I cannot see her today. She is upset she cannot get the stuff she asked me for. This was completely unnecessary. A family member with a loved one in your hospital really doesnt need more grief.
Just know what you have to look forward if the NICU Drs decide to keep your newborn in the NICU for 2 weeks for observation just in case.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
