La Palma Intercommunity Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I have been to this ER on several occasions. The complete staff is superlative, front to back. The nurses and doctors moved expeditiously to help me. They were kind and more-overly worked as a team to help me! Thank you La Palma Intercommunity Emergency Hospital and staff. You guys know what you are doing, you saved my life once again!

I was on my way to a corporate business meeting and how to use the restroom very bad. I figured since it was a hospital I was able to use the restroom no problem I didn't look like a bum or anything like that was nest nicely dressed and when I asked the nurse behind the counter where the nearest restroom was at she started questioning me where I'm coming from and why need to use the restroom. I literally told her never mind and walked out. I don't need anyone questioning my authority on using the restroom. This place is no good along with the people who work here.

No words to explain how frustrating this hospital is. Their lack of professionalism is incredible

Horrible .... EVERYTHING horrible.  Staff, cleanliness, and most of all HORRIBLE PATIENT CARE.  The attending nurses for my sister should have their license revoked.  Can never answer a question regarding care.  Response were always "I don't know" or "per doctors orders".  My sister ended up being intubated due to retaining Co2, my entire family said for 24 hours that something wasn't right.  Finally after demanding further tests, my sister was rushed to ICU (only area of the hospital that has competent nurses with bed side manners) .... now it is a waiting game, and best believe family will be here around the clock to ensure our family member gets the care she needs until we can TRANSFER HER OUTTA HERE. NEVER AGAIN.... AND IF YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER TO GET GOOD CARE, DONT END UP AT LA PALMA HOSPITAL.

I went here for follow up care. I was still hurting. I came here, the triage nurse was so kind. My nurse and doctor were outstanding. The radiologist was kind. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. Probably the best experience I’ve had with a hospital, in years. Thank you for the kindness and care.

My knee suddenly gave out on me while playing tennis so i suspected an MCL/ACL injury. The next day i went to the La Palma ER but was a bit apprehensive about the typical long wait and apathy one comes across quite often. The staff was friendly and pleasant and although the beds were full upon arrival, the time to get my own bed was completely reasonable. The nurses, radiologist, and doctor were all very attentive. I heard the doctor explain the pathophysiology to all the patients in layman’s terms so they could actually understand their condition and reasons behind treatments etc. The radiologist made the extra effort and provided warm blankets when carting me off to xray. The nurses made sure i was comfortable and that my crutches were appropriate for my height and that I knew how to use them. I don’t know that this would be where I’d want to be transported if i had life threatening trauma since it’s an old facility and may not be the best equipped but hats off to them for great service with my injury.

The doctors and nurses are the very best.  I am a retired nurse  I was in the ER and was treated with such respect.  They really care about you.

Worst experience I've ever had at a hospital. Staff was unprofessional. Security is a joke. I get to parking lot at 7am told to wait to see a doctor then I ask to use the restroom and 30 mins go by and there's two doctors smoking cigarettes on my car. I open my door tell them to leave. The come covid test me at 11:50 . Got results at 1:00. Then they tell me they never checked me in and they thought I left. I called every 20 minutes trying to get me in. It wasn't until I went to the front door begging for help and then they sit me in the back and say oh your negative and here's your doctors note. Never coming here again, don't come here.

My dad has had to visits to ICU and the hospital this past 6 months. The nurses are attentive, friendly, and nice to both the patients and the visitors. My family truly appreciates them and highly recommends them.

I have been their last week for eye infection I waited like 9 hours in emergency n they take me in doctor even don't check me he just came n go he gave me some I drop after I put this in my eye start getting worst n now I m totally blind because of their careless so I want to suu them my doctor name is Dr Ong Samuel plz help me to take them to jail
