I thought he retired and replaced by another doctor which I was not satisfied . So I changed to a new doctor. Anyone know of dr kuo is still in practice? If yes , where? I would like him to be my doctor again Thanks.
I am not only a patient of Dr. Kuo, but I worked with him in several hospitals for a few decades. He is not only an exceptional MD, but an exceptional human being. For years he refused to take any more patients because he was swamped, but friends would beg me to ask him to take them as patients. When I asked, Dr. Kuo could not say no. I warned everybody that if he cannot stay with you for a long chit chat do not come complaining to me because he literally is overwhelmed with the number of patients he has. The concern he has for his patients is genuine. In all the years I worked with this MD and in all the years he took care of my husband and myself as patients, he is one of the very few MDs I know with real empathy for his patients. He is also an excellent practitioner. I wish everyone has a chance to be a fly on the wall when the various MDs make their rounds in the hospital and hear what each MD has to say. I've been shocked by MD indifference and total inhumanity. I can never accuse Dr. Kuo of the same.
Best Doctor Ever!!!! Treated my family for over 30 years!!! But be informed that Dr. Norman Kuo has officially retired around June 2020.
Dr. Kuo by far is one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. And trust me, I've had many in my lifetime. He greets you with a smile, he gives you his full attention and listens to everything that you have to say. As our appointment was coming to an end, he asked if there was anything else I needed to ask or discuss. Actually, he asked that a few times. I love the fact that he doesn't want his patience leaving without completely understanding what treatment is best for you depending on your condition. Kudos to you Dr. Kuo
Dr. Kuo is an excellent doctor. He has been my doctor for over 30 years and has always helped me with all my medical needs. He is gifted with exceptional medical skills and is highly recommended. I truly believe Dr. Kuo is the best doctor there is in the medical field.
This dr is way too aggressive in pushing patients to get flu vaccines. I think there's a serious problem in the Western medical system. Financial conflict of interest. It impairs a Dr's judgement and his ability to stick to the Hippocratic oath. This is especially relevant in regards to vaccines. Drs receive between $15 and $30 as a kickback for giving a flu vaccine. If they give a flu shot to 1,000 patients, that's potentially a $30,000 bonus. The flu vaccine contains mercury, aluminum, MSG, and other neurotoxic ingredients. I'm sure an ethical dr would not be pushing this type of product onto his trusting patients if he were not being bribed to do so. If a dr pressures you into taking any drug, ask to see ingredients lists and a print out of potential side effects.
I suffered with a painful condition of the esophagus for years and Dr. Kuo diagnosed me and knew how to promptly get it under control. He is a truly caring doctor and he was excellent through the consults and endoscopy. My quality of life improved to now have the condition under control. With his solution, it's been under control ever since.
I have had the runs since dr Kuo performed a colonoscopy over a year ago. Today I had the runs about 3 times. Can't go anywhere with this situation happening of and on.
No stars... My mother called the receptionist today to make an appointment for me in the gastroenterology department And the receptionist she asked my mom what insurance we have and my mom responded that we have Kaiser but we want a second opinion and the receptionist lady was saying no go to Kaiser it's too much money here (my mom said we are paying cash) and the receptionist continued saying no the doctor is retiring too much people coming in just go to Kaiser, Kaiser is better...Like what the hell? Who says that? We want a second opinion somewhere other than Kaiser that's why we are calling and that receptionist lady is telling us no just go to Kaiser? That receptionist is terrible! We didn't get her name. But she was no help at all. My mother is furious.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
