List of Murtaza Merali's Reviews
Was not very good. Did a quick review of my eyes and said they were the same as last year. Asked for a prescription on my way out and was told they are not paid from my insurance for that. I have ordered lenses and frames twice and they lasted less than 8 months. I will ask my insurance if there is someone else I can use or pay for it somewhere else in the future.
Dr. Merali is somewhat impersonal but I don’t actually need my doctor to be my friend. He was punctual and helpful with some questions I had post-cataract surgery. Positive interaction overall.
I moved from North Van to Langley and found Dr. Merali in Willow Brook Mall. I had been buying my contact lenses online because the last location lost my prescription. When Dr. Merali asked where I bought my contacts and I said online he was mad that I was even in his office. I left with a new prescription for glasses but didn't know what my prescription was for my contacts. He said "since you buy your lenses online you can figure it out on there". I couldn't believe I had just paid this ahole and he couldn't tell me what my prescription was for my contacts after I had just told him that I barely wore my glasses. So now I was s#$t out of luck because of his arrogance. I called his receptionist back when there was no where to find out online what my prescription would be and said how unprofessional he is and she agreed. I would never EVER go back to this jerk! In fact I should report him for not providing me service I had paid for. I agree he's a "douch bag".
Dr.Merali was the biggest jerk in the world. He has no respect for anyone but himself.. He flys through patients at an unbelievable pace and wants a huge sum when he only spends no more than 5 minutes with you. He is an arrogant in the closet jerk off and no one likes him... he needs to retire because he sure as hell doesn't know what hes doing... if you don't care about your vision go track down dr. merali because hes a douch bag!!!
I have found that Dr Merali is very helpful, informative and seems to really care. He has gone out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied and happy with my exams. He answered all the questions in a way that I could understand.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
