Dr Kovacs is an extremely intelligent medical expert

I received a recommendation to talk with Dr. Kovacs 10 years ago, after Breast Cancer surgery. I cannot believe how fast the time has passed. Dr. Kovacs is an outstanding human being all the way around. My husband is also a recent patient. Dr. Kovacs will not let you down. He is always on top of the follow ups. He listens, educates, and his hugs are always reassuring as well!

Several visits now, and Dr. Gabor is always attentive and professional. That he has an oncology specialty comes in handy if you happen to have cancer, but as a general practitioner also knowledgeable and helpful.

Really listens, doesn't rush you out... He is the best!

He doesn't even know he saved my life! Dr Kovacs wasn't even my doctor at the time, when he came into the jewelry store where I worked. I was showing him a timepiece, when he stopped speaking (mid sentence), pointed to my throat, and then said "You need to get that checked out, your thyroid is bulging out!". My heart sank because I just knew there was something wrong. Turned out I had Thyroid Cancer (metastatic/spread into many lymph nodes). And apparently I'd had it for years. The previous doctor I had seen, insisted nothing was wrong with me and had sent me out of his office with a prescription for Prozac. I had told that previous doctor that other doctors had always used ultrasound to monitor my thyroid (since I had a tumor and partial removal as a child), but he just got irritated with me and insisted my thyroid hormones were fine, and therefor there couldn't be a problem. I now know that T3, T4 and Tsh hormones have nothing to do with cancer detection. But I was so humiliated by the experience, that I wasn't likely to see another doctor for a long, long time. Thank God for Dr Kovacs! If he hadn't walked into the jewelry store that day, noticed my swollen neck by glancing at it. and told me to get my thyroid checked, I'm pretty sure I'd be dead by now. It's been a rough few years, thyroid removed along with a total of 53 lymph nodes, and twice the usual nuclear medicine, but I've recently been cleared for a whole three months before recheck...a very good sign indeed. Absolutely I have recommended Dr. Kovacs to family and friends. Not only an excellent physician, but a wonderful person. Dr. Kovacs listens. I began seeing Dr. Kovacs as an oncologist; then my primary care physician of 30 plus years went into retirement. Dr. Kovacs welcomed me and the transition was painless. My husband has also switched his primary care to Dr. Kovacs.

Dr. Kovacs is the best doctor I have ever had. He spends one on one time, and makes sure he covers all the bases, and I never feel rushed out the door He cares deeply about his patients, and strives to learn and understand any medical issues (I have auto immune issues) his patient might have. I also think he has one of the best doctor patient relationships. You won't find a better doctor.

Dr Kovacs has been my Dr. for over 20 yrs. and it has always been a great experience. he is knowledgeable and a true professional. He has helped me through a lot and always been encouraging and patient. The staff is wonderful and they go above and beyond to be helpful.

The best doctor I've ever seen in 30 yrs of battling a chronic illness. He is highly intelligent and cares deeply about his patients welfare.
