List of Glenn Goldberg's Reviews
Although I can see that Dr. Glenn Goldberg is very intelligent and experienced and knows what he is doing medically, I do not recommend him, find another doctor who treats his patients respectfully. He's a big fan of wearing face masks and makes it mandatory for his staff and patients. I feel sorry for his staff having to wear those horrible masks all day, I object on their behalf for him forcing them to comply with that unconstitutional mandate. For me, he is too condescending and disrespectful and he thinks it's okay to make people wait a loooong time in the waiting room and to charge $1,000 for one office visit. His staff are very nice, except they think it is okay to make people wait on the phone 20-minutes and they say they will call back, but fail to do so, so I am not giving them a complete pass. I still blame Dr. Goldberg for making his patients wait 20-miontes on the phone multiple times without resolving a problem and waiting 1/2-hour in the waiting room wearing a horrible face mask and getting charged a cool thousand dollars and the end.
West Dermatology is a chain health care that serves themselves at the expense of their patients. Whether in SLO or Orange County, they treated me like their ATM whilst I had to get my real cancer dealt with elsewhere. Humans are not ATM machines but West Dermatologists got a secret memo that said otherwise. Do not give places like this your body as their business.
I called the office, just as requested, and all you did was gaslight me. When I explained how I had requested a biopsy multiple times before, during, and after both visits, all I got was pain and discomfort from the squamous carcinoma you agitated by trying to freeze it. Cancer is way more cellular than that, in case you did NOT know, and I don't think you do. However, gaslighting me at every step of the conversation was so uncool. But you said it best when you finally said, "If that were me, I would've gone elsewhere." So, I want to let you know that you are absolutely right about going elsewhere, and I have, and they biopsied, with the result being squamous cell carcinoma, and when you ignore and mistreat such a cancer, it spreads, and can kill. Thanks for using my body like a personal ATM, and I hope my time, pain, suffering, and the bills I paid for said needless time, pain, and suffering helps you sleep at night. But people who gaslight others are often too ignorant and narcissistic to change, so good luck with that, lady!
This place sucks. Super impersonal. You'll get billed again and again and again. They'll only do the bare minimum and have you come back to collect more copay and biopsy charges. Stay away.
Had to pay a new dermatologist to biopsy. Doctor feels certain it's a squamous. Results soon. It's upsetting to me when a doctor makes me feel more like a ATM than a human being who has skin cancer.
While the staff and PA were very pleasant, I went in requesting a biopsy. She decided to freeze in spite of me telling her my history with squamous cell carcinomas. Anywho, freezing did nothing so I went back, requesting a biopsy, again, and again she froze it. This sucker has roots! It requires a biopsy. I had the same issues with this health chain up in SLO, which I never have at UCLA. I wish I could understand why some doctors do this stuff with patients with a history. So, I will either have to go to UCLA or find another local dermatologist who will biopsy. I am annoyed at the waste of time and money, not to mention the emotional stress. Thanks for not listening to your patients, who actually have a pretty good insight into themselves if you are willing to hear them, and see them. I hate when I feel like a walking ATM to a doctor.
Staff was friendly and efficient! Dr. Goldberg, on the other hand, made me feel totally rushed. I was 10 min late but was done within 45 min of my appointment time as a new patient. He mentioned over and over that I was late and that he could only give me limited care. He did get it all done, but I felt uncomfortable. Glad I didn’t have to pay another $95 co-pay for another visit. He also commented that I was a pretty lady. Unnecessary. He was patronizing about every small procedure. He would not do it how I had it done in the past, he knew better. He even knew better if I wanted anesthesia. Very condescending all while claiming his vast experience. Not for me. Will be finding another dermatologist. I gave him 2 stars instead of 1 only because he did a decent job. Bedside manner is a 0!
I don't often have the pleasure of writing 5 star reviews about medical providers but Dr. Glenn Goldberg and team deserve one. Every single person I interacted with in the office was just lovely and friendly. I came in for a consultation to get a spot removed and the awesome PA ending up doing the treatment right then and there no fuss. It was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had at a Dr.'s office. She made me feel very comfortable and I will absolutely come back in the future for any skincare needs. Thanks!!
As a physician myself I am very careful whom I trust with my care and this office has been exceptional each time I've visited. Of special note PA Christina is always so warm and welcoming. Looking forward to seeing her again for my skin care!
I cannot overstate how wonderful it is to visit this office. Christina made me feel comfortable with her professionalism and kindness. I was very glad to see this office taking reasonable Covid precautions! Their service and excellent care will have me coming back! Thank you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
