He is the very best and I highly recommend him !

I love and respect this man very much. He saved my life. I had a bad inguinal hernia and he was able to make the correction before time ran out. I would recommend him highly. He also has a good bedside manner. He listens and answers questions very thoroughly. A really good man.

Based on my and my wife's experiences, there may not be a better general surgeon in South OC than Dr. Coccia, who removed my wife's gall bladder in 2018. In addition to being highly competent, simply stated, Dr. Coccia cares. He really cares. The level of attention and follow up is impressive, and rare. The same observation applies to his staff, Freda and Gwen. This is about as good as it gets.

I had a hernia surgery taken care of by Dr. Coccia. He was very comforting and positive from the first appointment. The office staff was friendly and left me feeling like I mattered. Day of the surgery, Doc showed up in great form, extremely professional, and sprinkled in some humor at just the right time. This was amazing. The moment I was being put under, He placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "we will take good care of you" The compassion in his touch and eyes gave me a sense of comfort I can describe as, Bliss. Thank you Doc, I will carry that moment with me!Five enormously SOLID stars.

Had my Gallbladder surgery with Dr. Coccia on 9/21/2020. He is an excellent surgeon and took exceptional care of me. He and his office called to check on me after surgery which i really appreciated. I would highly recommend Dr. Coccia for any General Surgery procedures, he is caring and truly knows his craft. Thank you for all that you did for me Dr. Coccia.

Mum had been referred to Dr Coccia for potential diverticulitis surgery. I went with her as this was a pretty big deal and I wanted to assure myself that this was a good Doctor. Long story short I think We just met one of the best of the best. Some initial questions, a little poking around, some more questions, he then quickly and succinctly summarized the situation and a course of action to determine if this surgery was even necessary. He was patient, listened carefully, was funny, articulate, compassionate and tailored his responses to her level of understanding. We are now moving forward now with confidence and trust in Dr Coccia.

I can't thank Dr. Coccia enough for putting me out of my misery and taking my gallbladder out! I had gallstones with symptoms appearing seemingly out of the blue. I was resistant to having surgery and tried an endless array of vitamins and detox programs to no avail. I even tried the cholesterol lowering medication as a last resort which literally made my head spin! I was out of options. Eating anything was a battle and I was constantly nauseous and in so much pain- I felt like my innards were being "sandpapered"! I am so glad I finally got the referral to Dr. Coccia and went through with the surgery. Now 6 weeks out, I am over the debilitating pain, no more nausea and I can pretty much eat anything I want with no complaints from my GI system. Like the whole ordeal was erased and I can get on with my life. I can honestly say this was the best health decision I ever made. Thanks again Dr. Coccia! I would strongly recommend this surgery with Dr. Coccia to anyone who finds themselves debilitated by gallstone pain.
