List of Providence Health & Services's Reviews
I will never come here again. The screener at the ER entrance gave me attitude when I told her I wanted an RN to take my vitals. She made it seem it like she can delay me from getting care. The charge nurse was also rude as well. When I got seen by the doctor I let her know that I missed dialysis to come here and she didn't say anything. Anyways she diagnosed me with a tear in my eye. And refused to give me pain medicine by injection after I told her I was overloaded I can't drink no more because I'm on fluid restriction. With an 8/10 pain level. I had to beg doctor to check potassium! Then I changed my mind and left AMA without signing papers. I am reporting this hospital to my insurance in morning.
There has to be a better way to schedule appointments with radiology. Waited two days for a call back to arrange a CT. They called this morning and first question was when was your blood work completed, I said about 3 weeks ago, great was her response,I can schedule your appointment.About 4 hours later I get a message on my house phone stating they are canceling my appointment because I need current blood work completed. I was not home to receive this call. She stated I needed blood work done within 90 days, hmmm last time I checked there isn't 90 days from 09/23/21-10/18/21. Called once I received the message and left phone number Tried calling back about a hour after my first call since receiving the cancellation and was placed on hold over a hour and a half, then went to voice mail, leave a message. There has to be another number patients can call back on to give you the answers you asked for. What a waste of time ,labor hours and patient time. In between those two phone calls the computer phoned me to confirm my appointment. So hopefully I have an appointment, we will find out Wednesday. Remember you are not the only ones who do scans , so maybe you should think about reworking your scheduling practice and add a number patients can quickly call you back on.
Would be remiss if I did not thank Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.Went to ER and they ran tests. Ended up staying 21 days. Hospital, Doctor's, Nurse's and of course those who assist nurse's were so professional and empathetic.Thank you team for all you did to get me on my path to recovery.Btw: Food is really good!
Depending on who's working you may get on your way back home as soon as 2 hrs or still be waiting by your Second hour , theres no dividers nor is there a way to purchase a drink or something. On their web it's advertised that you can get in line but you can forget it because the nurse said they weren't even aware it was still up on the web .
My doctor sent me to the ER at Mission in LB last week due to complications with a severe Covid infection. From the moment I stepped in the door I felt I was in good hands. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Jennifer was kind enough to take care of me for most of the day and answered all my questions. I wish I remembered the names of all the other nurses, x-ray tech and doctors I saw that day. Thank you Mission Hospital ER team for everything you did for me. I am still recovering from Covid , but I feel so much better now and you played a very big part in my recovery.
I went for a mammogram today and the service from start to finish was excellent! I checked in at the front lobby for a name badge and wristband and had my temperature checked. That made me feel more at ease because I knew that not just anyone could walk in the hospital. I checked again in Radiology and received another wristband with my name and DOB on it. I felt completely safe the whole time. There were hand sanitizing stations set up throughout the hospital and clean pens for us to use for signing docs. The radiologist, her name was Laura or Linda (sorry I don't remember exactly!) was gentle and so kind and considerate! Having a mammogram is a necessity for most of us ladies and I have to get one once a year due to prior conditions. She made a normally tortuous experience very tolerable. She even offered a bottle of water after I was done! I would highly recommend any women needing a mammogram to visit Linda/Laura at Providence-Mission in Laguna Beach!Plus going to a hospital with an ocean view is alway a plus!
Besides the congested room I was put in, all in all I was very pleased. I suffer from multiple spine issues and this location took great care to relieve my pain. After 6plus hospital stays this year due to my broken back in January, it is vital for me to have the best care possible. Thank you to the nurses at Mission Laguna who protected me & watched over me. And thank you to Dr. Liauw who is doing far more than Dr. Massoudi ever did for me. It feels like a miracle that I am so lucky to have met Dr. Liauw and now Dr. Lee
This is to the Emergency room at the Laguna beach location, 5 years ago I was having a heat stroke by the beach scariest time of my life, I was rushed to this place, everyone is very kind especially the Doctor, Tony Chow, very humble collected compassionate Doctor! I will never forget his kindness!! This is the best Hospital
Brought my kid in. Literally an empty ER and we are now going on hour 6. I'll go to dirty nasty Mission next time
I understand that most places are understaffed, but seriously! This place has mostly rude staff and they drag their feet on getting stuff done. My mother in law has been in here for 5 days with no real diagnosis and seems to have recovered from her initial stomach issues, yet they just keep running useless tests and won't get her discharged. They're just milking her insurance.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
