If i would have been teated for lyme instead of a cbc and scopes my recovery would have been simple and easy
Three month wait for an appointment as a new patient. On the day of my appointment the procedure went well. On that same day I was informed that I needed a prescription and treatment. However, due to a Negligent Office Staff and incompetent Administrative Operation the Post Procedure treatment and follow up has been an absolutely agonizing experience. Phone calls go unanswered and messages are ignored and without response. The office staff is unorganized and overwhelmed. I have had to go to the office in person on two occasions to ask about the status of my follow up. The first visit I spoke with Dr. Weinberg's assistant, Claudia, who said she would let the doctor know that I was waiting for my prescription and that I should expect it to be delivered to my address. Two weeks went by and nothing changed. My calls to the office went unanswered. I returned to speak with Claudia a second time and she responded as though we had never discussed the matter previously. It has been about 47 days since my procedure and I have yet to get a proper response from the doctors office about my treatment or prescription nor even a legitimate explanation for such a disappointing process. I do not recommend Dr. Weinberg.
A Pleasant Experience; albeit for a colonoscopy Dr. Weinberg is professional, caring, and detailed. I was very comfortable the first time we met and knew I made the right choice. My results were negative and therefore, I’ll see him again in 10 years if I’m still alive.
Dr Weinberg made me feel very comfortable in his office and when I had to procedure done. I would highly recommend him!
He is the best GI doctor in California if you ask me. Head of Cedar Sinai GI department? Weinberg ran circles around him, Head of GI at Hoag same thing. The only one close to him was the head of GI at Mayo Clinic Florida, the one with the $1 million per month hospital rooms that royalty attend. Weinberg is sharp and up to date on everything GI, he isn't in network and I happily pay cash to keep him as my main GI backbone. I'm using my insomnia to take advantage of writing out reviews I've promised to do before and Weinberg deserves about 15 as that's how many years I've worked with him. He is Ivy League and CA Ivy League due to finishing at UCLA. I know everyone who went to USC will see this as a negative, but I've never had a good doctor that attended USC and I've had multiple. The psychiatrist that over prescribes and her friend the neurologist that said I'm not worth his time. Dr. Arey the psychiatrist and Dr. Martinez the neurologist seem to have an elitist mindset, odd for USC correct? Well Dr. Weinberg is far more qualified than them and yet he is so down to earth and really talks to you, not at you. Wish we could be friends outside of medicine due to how amazing he is, just make an appointment and you'll see.
Got a hold of an administrator who got me in touch with the office immediately (bad sign right there... you need to speak with admin to get someone to speak with you?!). Spoke with a medical assistant who said if I pressed "4", she always gets the message and calls back. NOT TRUE! I did decide to go thru with my appt to give them a second chance but when I called and left a message with her to try to reschedule, guess what... no call back. DO NOT GO HERE!!
I had an appointment at 10am and got here at 10:05 and was on hold for 7min and they tell me I'm too late to my appointment and have to reschedule. I had all my forms filled out that they requested and no one told me to send them in prior, nor did they email me or call me in advance to let me know. Most drs give you a 15 min grace. My husband is a dr and would never turn a patient around for being 5 min late to their appointment. Will never come back to see a dr like this.
My husband is a patient of Dr Weinberg and was diagnosed with colon cancer in December 2022. My husband had surgery to remove 18” of his colon in January 2023. He is to have an annual colonoscopy, which means it should be this January 2024. When I scheduled the colonoscopy the earliest available was March 2024. After explaining the situation that my husband needed to be seen sooner than March, I received a confirmation that Dr Weinberg would do my husband’s colonoscopy January 2024. I called his office this morning to request the prescription for the preparation for the procedure and was told that the appointment for next week is only for a consultation, and that the colonoscopy will not be done until late March!! What?? This is ridiculous!! My husband is already a patient of Dr Weinberg and has had colon cancer!! My husbands annual colonoscopy should be scheduled on time! We are looking for a new doctor who will be able to give my husband the timely care he needs! When discussing the situation with Dr Weinberg’s assistant she was less than concerned and offered no real assistance!! Looking for a new gastroenterologist!
just had a call with dr weinberg i'm not sure why he would be so rude when asked about simple questions regarding the heart and test results. it seems as tho his ego speaks louder than his expertise. would not recommend this doctor at all especially if you are struggling with any arrythmia or cardiac problems that happen suddenly that may or may not be diagnosed right away since they cannot pick up the rythm disturbances in 3 second ECG'S or 3 day Holter monitors tha'ts frankly too short to comprehensively look into the issue and the patterns of the rythm disturbances. i have been struggling for 2 years with frequent pvc's and my life has completely been ruined the last thing i need is a snob that brushes it off as a nothingburger. THAT'S NOT PROFESSIONAL!
Dr Weinberg was very thorough. He listened to all of my concerns and has a wonderful bedside manner. The office staff was very welcoming and helpful. After my procedure I received a call checking in on me and answered any questions I had. Highly recommended!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
