List of Esrafil Abedi Asl, Md's Reviews
Will never recommend this practitioner! I made an appointment to be seen for a plugged ear canal after a long international flight. I told the doctor that I felt fluid stuck in my ear canal which made it difficult for me to hear. The doctor kept talking over me and would not let me finish my sentences. Instead, he did a quick exam of my ears and suggested that I take Mucinex to relieve the congestion! I asked again when and how the blockage in my ear would resolve and he gave me a totally unrelated explanation. Either this doctor is careless, or he does not know his trade. I will not return to this office again and will look for another ENT specialist.
At the beginning of September I went completely deaf. I couldn't hear at all. My primary Doctor Tabatabai told me to go & see Dr. Abedi. His Nurse April gave me an appointment immediately. I was seen by a very professional Ear Doctor who knew his profession. He immediately found what was wrong with my ears. A fungus infection in the ear canals. He immediately wash my ears and cleaned the debris, applied ointment to the damaged canals. After 3 follow up visits, & ear washes and medication, this magician, Dr. Abedi re-established my hearing without any furtherdue. His Nurse April and Stacey were were very comforting professionals who.preformed their duties and tasks to level unseen in todays world. Doctor Abedi you better give a salary raise and keep tgese 2 nurses. They are great professionals who really take care of tgeir patients with gentile tender loving care. I highly recommend Dr Abidi and his Nurses April & Stacey: they are the very best!!!
Knowledgeable doctor. Very quick.
Be careful when reading the reviews. Notice that there are no 3 or 4 star reviews. Only 5 star reviews from people who have very few other reviews, that end with a narrative about how the patients would trust their lives with the doctor, or 1 or 2 star reviews. We visited the office with my mother to clean her ears. She got a course of antibiotics due to an ear infection and a follow up visit. She said the cleaning was somewhat painful. On the follow up the doctor said to perform a hearing test in the office. We already had one scheduled at an audiologist. I asked why can't we just do the test elsewhere and send the results back? The doctor insisted we must do it at the office because he cannot verify the other doctors. The receptionist said she could not guarantee that the test would be fully covered by insurance, and said we could take this test result to the next audiologist. We went ahead due to my mom's strong health coverage plan. Little did I realize it was going to be a standard hearing test performed on an old machine by the nurse assistant, not by an audiologist. The test was the same as my mother's previous hearing test levels, and the doctor told us my mother needed hearing aids. This was not new news as she has had hearing aids for years. He said now we could take this test to shop for hearing aids. The doctor said to come back in 6 months for another cleaning otherwise the hearing aids won't work. As we were leaving the office the receptionist kept telling us we needed to book the 6 month follow up as we were walking out the door.
I can not believe what he did to my mother , he just thinking of money and after he made a mistake try to send us to other doctors.never ever back to him.
He is not listening to me at all.
BE AWARE from this doctor. No communication with patients at all, without saying anything to me or let me beware of the test he has done for my ear. after that, I experience tinnitus ringing noises in both of my ears. I can't sleep all night. FAKE, positive reviews on their business. I visit the office of Dr.Esrafil Abedi on March 4, 2021, until today dealing with Tinnitus in my ears and headache. It's a nightmare.
This guy is something special, he doesn't listen to you and hard to understand as he mumbles when he talks. I don't think he know what he is doing. I don't understand why he is allowed to practice medicine. Either trust the negative comments and avoid him or just go and experience this guy yourself.
BE AWARE that many doctors pay 3rd parties to post FAKE, positive reviews on their business. I think this doctor is one of them.I usually don't write reviews, but I was motivated to leave a review on this doctor. Because I felt the majority of his positive reviews on Google and Yelp were a fraud. On Yelp and Google, I've noticed his employees posted positive reviews too.I have a low tolerance for incompetency when it comes to anything healthcare-related. Also, to note, I'm leaving this review to help others.Dr. Abedi doesn't know anything about Nose and ears. I have severe sinusitis, concha bullosa, deviated septum, caused by thickened middle turbinate. I also have ill-leveled maxillary sinus, that needed to be drained. All of CT and MRI proved my conditions. Before seeing Dr. Abedi, I had also seen 3 other ENT surgeons, who diagnosed my conditions accurately. All other ENT doctors as well as the radiologist, who did CT and MRI on me diagnosed that I would need surgery to drain maxillary sinus, remove the concha bullosa, and reduce the middle turbinate size to improve my sinus congestion. My sinusitis condition was extremely severe that required a surgery. So I went to multiple ENT surgeons to compare their feedback and select the best surgeon to get a surgery.Dr. Abedi couldn't even read, understand, and interpret my CT and MRI. Instead of interpreting my CT and explaining my conditions, Dr. Abedi rather asked non-sense questions over and over.He continuously interrupted when I tried to explain my symptoms. He challenged to understand my questions, didn't let me finish a sentence. I think that's because he didn't know his subject too well so he was scared of me asking questions. Also, please PAY ATTENTION to what he claims to your insurance! He will make lots of fraud claims (the tests he didn't perform) and orders unnecessary tests to "OVER-CHARGE" your insurance.I strongly think someone should investigate his license and education (whether he really holds an ENT license) and file a complaint. I found many suspicious things about him -- all his diagnosis was completely opposite from other ENT doctors I had met. He couldn't read and interpret nose CT and MRI. He couldn't even tell a difference between normal vs abnormal sinusWhile all other ENT doctors advised me to get surgery, Dr. Abedi diagnosed me that I wouldn't need any surgery and my sinusitis was caused by allergy. He even advised me to see a cosmetic surgeon to fix my sinusitis by placing fat (Botox). He said, it may reduce my sinus congestion, what??? Are you crazy?!?!This guy is a complete FRAUD!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Abedi for over 15 years. I was prone to sore throats and he was able to treat my chronic sore throats. Furthermore, I had issues with my throat and ears my Primary care has misdiagnosed me and Dr. Abedi was able to treat the problem. I highly recommend him, he has over 35+ years of experience. You’re in good hands.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
